BMM Course: BMM is an undergraduate course that has been designed to provide students with solid training in communication skills. The BMM course was first started by the University of Mumbai in the year 2000-2001. During the curriculum, students are prepared for various fields of media both in television and print. The duration of this course is three years of six semesters. There are many specializations that they can choose in the third year like Advertising and Journalism.

This Program helps the scholars to enhance their writing and presentation skills and also imparts relevant knowledge of the current status of media. After completing the BMM Course, Students become successful media professionals like journalists and advertising executives. BMM Course Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates are eligible for this course only if they fulfill the below-mentioned conditions:

  • Candidates who should be passed in the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination with specialization in any of the areas of Science, Arts, or Commerce from the University can apply for this course.
  • Candidates must pass from the Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent exams or Diploma courses in any Engineering Branches to apply for admission.
  • Applicants should have secured a minimum of 50% of aggregate marks to apply for this program.
  • The weight allotted for admission in BMM is 25% for both Commerce and Science Stream and 50% for Arts.

Admission Procedure for BMM Course:

  • Candidates who want to opt for the Bachelor of Mass Media program can get admission through merit-based. There are several universities that offer both direct admission and entrance-based admission to the program. However, some Universities require candidates to have given any of the applicable Entrance Exams for Bachelor of Mass Media.
  • Aspirants who are applying for the Bachelor of Mass Media program should previously have their results from the respective entrance exams required by the selected/opted Universities.
