UPTET Exam 2025

UPTET Exam: The Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) is a state-level examination conducted for the recruitment of Primary and post-primary level teacher posts in the schools of Uttar Pradesh. The conducting body of the UPTET 2025 Exam is the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) which the state government of Uttar Pradesh governs. UPTET Exam 2025 is a pen and paper-based test (offline mode) which is held once a year, scheduled tentatively in October 2025.

The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) will announce the UPTET Exam Notification 2025 for the recruitment of the Primary and Upper Primary Teachers posted on its official website i.e. upbasiceduboard.gov.in. All the eligible and interested candidates who are looking forward to appearing in the UPTET Exam 2025 should start their preparations now. The UPTET Exam Notification 2025 can be released at any time by the officials of the board. The UPTET 2025 Exam Notification will be available in PDF format on the official website of the board.

There are 2 levels of UPTET Exam 2025:

1. UPTET Primary Level 
2. UPTET Junior Level

Candidates who successfully qualify for Paper I can teach the students of Class I-V & the students who qualify for Paper II can teach the students of Class VI-VIII. Qualified Candidates can teach in any Govt. or Private Schools. The exam will take place in 2 different shifts. All the applicants who wish to become primary or upper primary level teachers in the government school of Uttar Pradesh need to appear for UPTET 2025.

The UPTET 2025 Exam Notification will contain all the details of the UPTET 2025, its Application Process, Eligibility Criteria, Exam Date, Syllabus, Exam structure, Admit Card, and Cut-off marks. Candidates who are willing to appear in the UPTET Exam 2025 can start applying for the Exam from 1st June 2025. The last date for submission of the application form is 20th June 2025. Interested candidates will be able to print the form details on 22nd January 2025.

UPTET 2025 Details:

Minor changes have been made in the UPTET Exam Application fees. Candidates have to pay INR 100 extra for the application fee. The UPBEP will release the UPTET 2025 Exam Notification in Hindi and in PDF format which will include important details such as events dates, eligibility, fee, application form link, syllabus, pattern, etc. The validity of the UPTET eligibility certificate will remain for up to 5 years. For the first time, D.El.Ed and B.Ed 1st semester trainees are also eligible to participate in the October month's UPTET Exam 2025. Teachers who are in the training period can also appear for the UPTET 2025 Exam.

UPTET Stands for Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test which is organized by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB). Uttar Pradesh TET Exam Notification 2025 is going to be released in 2025. The notification will be updated with important updates such as events, dates, eligibility, application form link, application fee link, syllabus, exam pattern, etc. The exam contains Paper- 1 and Paper- 2 in which Paper- 1 will recruit the Primary Level Teacher for Class 1st to 5th while Paper- 2 is conducted to recruit the Upper Primary Teacher for Class 6th to 8th. 

• Candidates must have checked the eligibility criteria before filling out the application form UPTET 2025. 
• The eligibility certificate which will be awarded to the candidates will remain valid for 5 years. 
• The UPTET Application Form begins in September 2025 (Tentative). Also, candidates can check the official date from the Notification section. 
• This exam is a Uttar Pradesh State-level Teacher Eligibility Test. Here, there are 2 levels of UPTET exam 2025 i.e.,
• Candidates can pay the registration fee before the prior date. And the last tentative date to make payment is September 2025.
•  Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) will release all the relevant information about the UP Teacher Eligibility Test 2025 on the official website i.e., upbasiceduboard.gov.in. 

Eligibility for UPTET Exam 2025:

The UPTET 2025 Exam is conducted for the Primary and Post-Primary levels of teaching posts. Candidates must carefully go through the eligibility criteria before filling out the UPTET Application Form. UPTET eligibility is based on the educational qualification for the posts below mentioned.

UPTET Primary (1st to 5th standard) Teacher Eligibility:

• The Applicants must hold a graduate degree with 2 years in B.T.C training or B.Ed and also the applicant must have done the graduation in any stream and must score a minimum of 50% marks.
• The applicants must have scored 50% marks in 12th standard and 4 years diploma in B.EL.ED.
• The applicant should graduate with 2 years of BTC training in Hindi or English
• The applicant should be a graduate with 2 years of BTC training in Urdu.

UPTET Post-Primary (6th to 8th standard) Teachers Eligibility:

• Applicant must be a graduate or postgraduate from the recognized institute NCTE with 50% of marks.
• The applicant should be a graduate with 2 years of BTC training.
• Applicant should score 50% marks from the recognized university or institute and also should have 2 years of B.Ed diploma or
• The candidate should have 50% marks in 12th and 4 years of diploma in B.EL.ED.
• The candidate should have 50% marks in 12th and 4 years of diploma in B.S.C.D or
• If the candidate belongs to any of these categories like SC/ST/OBC/PH/Ex-serviceman with 45% of marks.

UPTET Eligibility Based on Age Limit:

Candidates willing to apply for UPTET 2025 must be above 18 years and less than 35 years of age. The table below shows the age of reserved categories

UPTET 2025 Eligibility Based on Nationality:

• The applicants belonging to Bhutan/Tibet/Nepal are also eligible for the UPTET 2025.
• Candidates must be a citizen of INDIA.
• If any candidate is willing to improve their performance can fill out the application form, and the UPTET certificate is valid for 5 years.

Important Instructions:

• The applicants who have a diploma in special education or D.ED are provided training for 6 months.
• There is a 5% mark relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
• Candidates who possess a diploma from NCTE/RCI will be given preference.

UPTET Exam Center:

Students appearing for the test are requested to cooperate with the conducting authority to conduct the exam smoothly. Hence, the board requests the students to abide by all the rules and regulations, including the documents they are asked to bring to the center.

• Admit Card: Candidates must mandatorily bring the UPTET Admit Card to the exam hall without which the entry will be denied.
• Start early: Reach the examination center 45 minutes before the commencement of the test.
• Leaving the exam hall: The candidates should leave the hall, only after completion of the exam, and no candidate is allowed to leave before the prior time of the completion of the exam.
• Extra timing: No extra time is allowed for a candidate in the exam, the candidate should complete on or before the given time for the exam.
• Late Entry: The Exam authority will not allow the candidates to come late to the exam (even after 5 minutes).
• Documents: The candidates are not allowed to bring any type of material or document except the mentioned one.

UPTET Vacancy Notification 2025:

UPTET 2025 Exam will be conducted in two different shifts for Paper-I & Paper-II for recruiting Primary and Middle School Teachers in the State of Uttar Pradesh.
