UPTET 2019 exam pattern

UPTET 2019 Exam Pattern:

UPTET (Uttar Pradesh Teachers Eligibility Test) will be conducted to recruit candidates who meet the Eligibility criteria for the posts of teachers at the primary and upper primary level in Government schools of Uttar Pradesh. The exam is expected to be conducted in October 2019 for aspiring teachers in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

  • Authority: UPTET 2019 Exam Pattern will be released by the UPBEB (Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board) with details regarding the number of questions, UPTET Syllabus and mark distribution.
  • No. of Papers: There will be two papers for UPTET 2019.  Paper 1 for candidates applying for the position of primary level teachers (class 1 to class 5) and Paper 2 for candidates applying for the position of upper primary level teachers (class 6 to class 8).
  • Position: Any candidate who is applying for both the job positions should sit for both the papers.
  • Mode of examination: UPTET Exam is conducted in offline mode (pen paper-based)
  • Types of Questions: objective type -Multiple Choice Questions  
  • Total no. of questions: 150 questions
  • Marking process: 1 marks for every correct answer.
  • Time allotted: 2 hours and 30 minutes
  • Negative marking: there is no negative marking in this examination.
  • Language in the exam: English and Hindi
  • Minimum qualifying score: 60% i.e. 90
