All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) is a group of autonomous public medical colleges for higher education. A national exam is conducted every year by All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi for providing admission in MBBS programme in AIIMS Institutions. AIIMS is considered to be the most coveted Institute in which the number of aspirants taking the entrance exam goes up to 3 lakh.
AIIMS, New Delhi is responsible for holding the admission process each year. Through this exam, aspirants can get admission into nine AIIMS Institutions which are located in New Delhi, Bhopal, Rishikesh, Patna, Jodhpur, Guntur(Andhra Pradesh), Nagpur, Raipur and Bhubaneswar. Every year, nearly 2 lakh aspirants register themselves for AIIMS examination. In 2018, a total of 7,617 candidates, including 2,705 females qualified the examination.

Before starting with AIIMS online registration 2019, candidates must fulfil AIIMS 2019 eligibility criteria.
The Candidate must be a citizen of India. OCI(Overseas Citizenship of India) & Foreign National candidates are also eligible.
The minimum age limit should be 17 years.
The aspirant must have completed their Class 12 under 10+2 scheme/CBSE/ISC or an equivalent examination of a recognised university/board of any Indian State with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as the main subject.

A certain percentage of seats in AIIMS are reserved for ST, SC, OBC and PWD candidates. In six new AIIMS (Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur and Rishikesh) with intake 100 students each and 50 students each in AIIMS Nagpur and Guntur the reservation policy followed is tabulated below :
