Joint Entrance Examination (JEE ) Mains

JEE Main Exam: Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an All India Engineering Entrance examination that is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Earlier the exam was organized by the Central Board Of Secondary Education (CBSE). JEE Main and JEE Advanced organize the JEE examination. The JEE Mains 2023 Exams are of the objective pattern. JEE Main Exam Application Form filling process starts in the first week of April 2023 and ends in the last week of May 2023. The online application form will be available on the official website of NTA.

The examination is conducted twice a year. The first phase of the JEE Mains Exam 2023 is scheduled through the online mode in the second week of January and the second phase is scheduled from the second week of April 2023. Applicants who have secured a minimum of 75% marks in their intermediate (65% for SC/ ST division) can only appear for this exam.

JEE Main Exam Notification 2023

JEE Mains Exam incorporates two papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates can appear for any one of them or both depending upon their interests. Both papers encompass multiple-choice questions. Paper 1 of JEE Main Exam (B.E./ B.Tech) is a gateway to various IITs, NITs, IIITs, CFTIs and is conducted through both the online and offline modes. Paper 2 is for admission in B.Arch and B.Planning courses and is conducted through the offline mode only.

JEE Main, unlike JEE Advanced, has an established exam composition and is not directed to change every year. Paper 1 consists of a total of 30 Multiple Choice Questions from each of the three subjects i.e., Maths, Physics, and Chemistry. There is a negative marking for every wrong or incorrect answer. Also, 4 marks will be given for marking a correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect response.

JEE Mains Exam 2023: Eligibility Criteria

As per the JEE Mains Exam eligibility criteria, an applicant must be born on or after October 1, 1993, and there is a relaxation of 5 years in the age of SC/ST/PWD candidates. The eligibility criteria of the JEE Main Exam will specify the age limit, academic qualifications, nationality, and other mandatory requirements that must be met by all the appearing candidates.

NOTE:

  1. The exam organizing body allows candidates with 40% or more disabilities to avail the assistance of a Reader.
  2. Percentage of various categories is: SC (15%), ST (7.5%) OBC-NCL (27%), and Open Category (50.5%). Including all these categories, a 5% horizontal reservation is given for PwD candidates.
  3. Candidates applying for B.E./B. Tech should have considered Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology while candidates applying for B. Arch/B. Planning should have studied Mathematics at their +2 level. IITs, NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs, applicants need to have an aggregate.

JEE Main Registration Form 2023

One of the most important processes for the candidates to get selected in the topmost college of India is to fill the JEE Main Registration Form. The JEE Main Registration Form contains the general information about the candidates along with their course choices and their preferences that will be recorded in their JEE Main Exam Result and based on that details admission will take place. The JEE Mains Registration Form will start in the month of September 2023 and end by the second week of October 2023. There is a JEE Main Application Fee that the candidates have to submit in order to successfully complete the JEE Main Registration Form.

JEE Mains Admit Card 2023

The JEE Main Admit Card is released in the month of December once the application process is successfully completed and has ended. It is very crucial for the candidates to get their JEE Main Admit Card on time. On a serious note, the candidates without their JEE Main Exam Admit Card will not be allowed to enter and appear for the exam. JEE Main Exam Syllabus 2023:

The JEE Main Exam Syllabus is released on the official website of NTA and candidates can download it from there. The syllabus of the JEE Mains Exam incorporates various subjects that the candidates have studied in their classes 11th and 12th. The JEE Main syllabus is available in Pdf format for the candidates on the official website of NTA. To get the JEE Mains Syllabus, candidates can download it in an easy manner from the official web portal of NTA. Aspirants can come across the JEE Main syllabus before they prepare for the JEE Main Exam to ensure that they cover all the topics and subjects and also to plan their study according to the exam pattern.

JEE Main Exam Result 2023:

The JEE Main Exam Result is released on the official website of NTA in the month of January. All the candidates can get official notifications related to the results on the website of NTA. To check the JEE Main Result, candidates have to visit the NTA official website and then, do the login by the application id which was provided to them at the time of filling the JEE Main Application Form.
