Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains

JEE Main Exam: The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an All-India Engineering Entrance examination that is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Earlier the exam was organized by the Central Board Of Secondary Education (CBSE). JEE Main and JEE Advanced organize the JEE examination.

The JEE Mains 2024 Exams are of the objective pattern. JEE Main Exam Application Form filling process starts on November 01 2023 and ends on December 04, 2023. The online application form will be available on the official website of NTA.

The examination is conducted twice a year. The first phase of the JEE Mains Exam 2024 is scheduled online mode on 24 January and the second phase is scheduled from April 01 2024. Applicants who have secured a minimum of 75% marks in their intermediate (65% for SC/ ST division) can only appear for this exam.

JEE Main Exam Notification 2024

JEE Mains Exam incorporates two papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates can appear for any one of them or both depending upon their interests. Both papers encompass multiple-choice questions. Paper 1 of the JEE Main Exam (B.E./ B.Tech) is a gateway to various IITs, NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs and is conducted through both online and offline modes. Paper 2 is for admission in B.Arch and B.Planning courses and is conducted through the offline mode only.

JEE Main, unlike JEE Advanced, has an established exam composition and is not directed to change every year. Paper 1 consists of a total of 30 Multiple Choice Questions from each of the three subjects i.e., Maths, Physics, and Chemistry. There is a negative marking for every wrong or incorrect answer. Also, 4 marks will be given for marking a correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect response.

JEE Mains Exam: Eligibility Criteria 2024

Per the JEE Mains Exam eligibility criteria, an applicant must be born on or after October 1, 1993, and there is a relaxation of 5 years in the age of SC/ST/PWD candidates. The eligibility criteria of the JEE Main Exam will specify the age limit, academic qualifications, nationality, and other mandatory requirements that must be met by all the appearing candidates.

The applicants need to go through certain parameters to check eligibility criteria:

NOTE:

  1. The exam organizing body allows candidates with 40% or more disabilities to avail themselves of the assistance of a Reader.
  2. The percentage of various categories is SC (15%), ST (7.5%) OBC-NCL (27%), and Open Category (50.5%). Including all these categories, a 5% horizontal reservation is given for PwD candidates.
  3. Candidates applying for B.E./B. Tech should have considered Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology while candidates applying for B. Arch/B. Planning should have studied Mathematics at their +2 level. IITs, NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs, applicants need to have an aggregate.

JEE Main Registration Form 2024

One of the most important processes for the candidates to get selected in the topmost college of India is to fill out the JEE Main Registration Form. The JEE Main Registration Form contains general information about the candidates along with their course choices and their preferences that will be recorded in their JEE Main Exam Result and based on those details admission will take place. The JEE Mains Registration Form will start on November 1, 2023, and end by December 4, 2023 (9 PM). There is a JEE Main Application Fee that the candidates have to submit to complete the JEE Main Registration Form.

JEE Mains Admit Card 2024

The JEE Main Admit Card will be released in January 2024 once the application process is completed and has ended. The candidates must get their JEE Main Admit Card on time. On a serious note, the candidates without their JEE Main Exam Admit Card will not be allowed to enter and appear for the exam. JEE Main Exam Syllabus 2024

The JEE Main Exam Syllabus is released on the official website of NTA and candidates can download it from there. The syllabus of the JEE Mains Exam incorporates various subjects that the candidates have studied in their classes 11th and 12th. The JEE Main syllabus is available in PDF format for the candidates on the official website of NTA. To get the JEE Mains Syllabus, candidates can download it easily from the official web portal of NTA. JEE Main Exam Result 2024

The JEE Main Exam Result will be released on the official website of NTA on February 12, 2024. All the candidates can get official notifications related to the results on the website of NTA. To check the JEE Main Result, candidates have to visit the NTA official website and then, do the login by the application ID which was provided to them at the time of filling the JEE Main Application Form.
