UP GNM Exam: The GNM Nursing diploma is offered by various institutes in India and the admissions are facilitated by entrance exams conducted at the State level. Here are the details of the GNM Nursing entrance exams in India. GNM Nursing or General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) is a diploma course offered by various institutes across the States.

The exams are conducted at the State level. The details regarding the GNM Nursing entrance exam will be made available on the official websites of the conducting bodies of the respective States. GNM Nursing is a three-and-a-half-year diploma course inclusive of a six-month internship and can be pursued after completing Class 12 with Science, Arts, and Commerce streams (Preferably Science).

State-wise GNM Nursing Exams 2024:

Some State Nursing Councils along with the State level Health departments organize the GNM Nursing Entrance Exams. The Indian Nursing Council (INC) which is the supreme governing body of the Nurses has issued detailed eligibility criteria for GNM Nursing and based on the same, GNM Nursing applications are invited.

The INC had already laid the guidelines regarding GNM Nursing eligibility which is common across the States but in a few cases, there can be some changes in the eligibility criteria depending upon the reservation criteria the State follows. UP GNM 2024 Application Form:

One of the most important procedures for the aspirants to appear in the UP GNM Exam 2024 is to fill out the UP GNM Application Form. The UP GNM Application Form incorporates general information about the aspirants along with their choices and preferences that will be recorded in their UP GNM Exam Result and based on those details further process will take place. The UP GNM Registration Form will start in July 2024 and end by the second week of August 2024. UP GNM Exam Admit Card 2024:

The UP GNM Exam Admit Card will be released in August 2024 once the application process is completed and has ended. It is very decisive for the candidates to get their UP GNM Exam Admit Card on time. The applicants without their UP GNM Exam Admit Card will not be allowed to enter and sit for the exam. The UP GNM Syllabus is released on the official website of the university and candidates can download it from there. The syllabus of the UP GNM 2024 Exam incorporates various subjects that the candidates have studied in their classes 11th and 12th. The UP GNM Exam 2024 syllabus is available in PDF format for the candidates on the official website of the university. The UP GNM 2024 Exam Result is released on 29th August 2024 on the official website of the university. To check the UP GNM Exam 2024  Result, candidates have to visit the university's official website and then, do the login by the application id which was provided to them at the time of filling out the UP GNM Exam Application Form.

Eligibility for UP GNM Exam:

• The Indian Nursing Council (INC) has set standard eligibility criteria for the GNM Nursing diploma course. The eligibility criteria are uniform across the states but the allotment of seats is carried out based on the reservation rules of the respective state.  Below is the eligibility criteria laid by the INC:
•  The aspirant must have cleared class 12 in English and must have secured a minimum of 40 percent in aggregate in the qualifying examination and English separately from any recognized board State Open School recognized Candidates are also eligible for State Open School recognized by the State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government. However, aspirants with a Science stream will be given preference
• The aspirant must have passed class 12 in English securing 40 percent in aggregate in vocational ANM courses from any Institute recognized by the Indian Nursing Council
•  The aspirant must be a Registered ANM having a qualifying mark.

The GNM is a three-year diploma course in Nursing with six months of mandatory internship is the diploma course that can be pursued after class 12 irrespective of the stream taken in the qualifying exam (class 12).
