Military Nursing Service Exam 2024 is a national-level entrance exam conducted by DGMS (Directorate General of Medical Services) to offer admissions to BSc Nursing Army is a 4-year degree program offered in the field of Nursing.
There are only 220 seats available for admission in the six Military Nursing colleges located in Kolkata, Pune, Asvini, Lucknow, Bengaluru, and New Delhi. This exam is held to provide admission to only female candidates. Therefore only female candidates can apply for the MNS vacancy in 2024.

MNS Exam is also called the Indian Army Nursing Exam, it is a national-level entrance exam conducted to offer admission to a 4-year BSc Nursing program offered by the Army Medical Colleges. Please note that only female candidates are eligible to apply for the Indian Army Nursing Exam 2024.
To appear in the Indian Army BSc Nursing 2024 exam, all the candidates must have to fulfill all the eligibility requirements as stated below:
⦿ Education Qualification required for MNS Exam 2024: The candidate must have completed her Higher Secondary Education and passed the HSC board exams (10+2) on the first attempt with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Botany/Zoology, and English as main subjects with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the exams.
She must have completed her 10+2 as a regular student from a recognized board, statutory body, or university/examination body. Candidates who haven't completed their higher secondary education but appearing in the last year of the qualifying examination during the current academic session can also apply for the Military Nursing Service Exam 2024 on a provisional basis but please note that the selected candidates will have to submit the proof of passing the qualifying examination with all the mandatory subjects. In case of failing to present proof, the candidate will be disqualified and his/her seat will be given to the candidate next in line.
⦿ Nationality: The candidate must hold the citizenship of India and should be Indian National.
⦿ MNS Exam Age Criteria: The age of the applicant must fall between the scale of 17 years to 25 years. In other words, the candidate's date of birth should be between 1st Oct. 1997 and 30th Sept. 2005.
⦿ Physical Fitness: The candidate must be at least 152 cm tall. If the candidates belong to Garhwal, Kumaon, Gorkhas, or the Northeastern region, then the minimum height requirement is 148 cm. Physical fitness will be determined as per standards applied by the Commission in the Armed Forces.
After the personal interview, the candidates will have to undergo a medical examination in which an X-ray examination of the Chest and an Ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis will be done to ensure that the candidate meets all the medical fitness requirements.
⦿ Marital Status: Only unmarried, divorcee, widows or legally separated females are eligible to apply for the exam.
The selection procedure for Indian Army BSc. The nursing Exam is quite complex. The applicant has to go through four major phases:
⦿ Computer-based examination: All the Military Nursing Service exam 2024 applicants will have to appear in a computer-based examination, it will be an objective type exam and all the questions will have MCQ options, The candidate will have to choose the right answer from the given options.
This exam will be of a total of 150 marks and a total of 90 minutes will be given to the candidate to complete their exam. It will consist of three sections which are General English, General Intelligence, and Science (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics). Each section will have 50 questions and each question will carry 1 mark. There shall be no negative marking scheme in the Military Nursing Service Exam 2024.
⦿ Personal Interview: The candidate who will pass the Computer-based examination will be called for a Personal Interview round. The interview will carry a weight of 100 marks.
⦿ Medical Examination: After the personal interview round, the candidate will undergo a medical examination. In this medical examination, an X-ray examination of the Chest and an Ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis will be done to ensure that the candidate meets all the medical fitness requirements.
Once the medical examination is done, the candidates will be declared FIT or UNFIT for the Military Nursing Services and will be informed about their medical status soon. They will also be informed about the procedure of obtaining for Appeal/Review medical board by the President of the Selection Medical Board (SMB).
⦿ Final selection based on Merit List: The final selection of the candidates for Military Nursing Service will be based on the combined merit of the Computer-based test (MNS Exam 2024), Personal Interview, and Medical examination of the candidate. Also, the seat allotment is subject to the availability of seats, the candidate's choice, vacancy in the Army medical college, and reservation criteria.

NOTE: The reserved seats will be filled by the candidates belonging to the SC/ST category or by the candidates possessing NCC "C" certificates based on their rank in the general merit list.
