BA Course: BA Course is a 3-year undergraduate course, Usually in a branch of the Liberal Arts, the Sciences, or both in India. Eligibility Criteria for BA Course:

  • Aspirants successfully passing their (10+2) examination from a recognized Education Board with Science, Arts or Commerce stream can opt for a BA course.
  • All SC/ST candidates have a relaxation of 5% in the minimum aggregate marks who are opting for this particular course.

Admission Procedure for BA Course:

  • Admission to the BA courses program is possible through both entrance examination and merit-based. Many universities do offer both direct admission and entrance-based admission to the BA course program.
  • Candidates who are applying for the Bachelor of Arts (BA) program should have all the necessary documents before giving the entrance test such as 12th results and I.D verification. After the application forms are evaluated, such scholars are called for field and ECA trials.
  • Several colleges/universities also intake students with exceptional performance in extra-curricular activities under the ECA and Sports Quota. Generally, 5% of seats are reserved under the ECA and Sports quota.
  • Aspirants applying under the Sports and ECA quota have to go through a 2-step selection process. Firstly they have to fill an application form wherein they need to mark clearly that they have applied under the ECA and Sports quota. After the application forms are evaluated, such scholars are called for field and ECA trials. Admission offered to the applicants is based on their performance in the field and ECA trials and their prior performance in state and national level competitions. B.A Syllabus and Subjects:

A Bachelor of Arts allows a novice to study a combination of 5 subjects. These subjects are generally related to Social Sciences and Humanities. Out of these 5 subjects, 2 are language examinations. Scholars have to select their subjects from a wide array of subjects offered by the BA course. In the second year, applicants are supposed to select the subject of their major.
