B.Pharm Course: The B.Pharm Course is a 4-year undergraduate course (divided into 8th semesters) in the field of pharmacy. It is specifically designed for students interested in a career in medicine and the like. It is conducted in the annual and semester-wise scheme.

Students who are eligible to apply for this course must have completed their 10+2 in the science stream (PCB). Students are also required to take an entrance exam to gain admission to this course.

The path of lateral entry is also available. In many countries, this degree is the minimum requirement to become a pharmacist, however, in India, one can pursue a Diploma in Pharmacy and still practice as a Pharmacist. 

B.Pharm Course graduates can practice in a variety of fields such as patient counselling, lecturing, drug information specialist, quality control, etc. The field of pharmacy is a wide and ever-growing field.

B.Pharm Course Admission and Eligibility:

The B.Pharma course has certain admission processes and eligibility criteria that students must be aware of.

Eligibility Criteria:

For students to gain eligibility in the B.Pharma Course, they must have:

  • Passed their 10+2 from a recognized board.
  • Students must have the subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in their 11th and 12th classes.
  • Students who hold a D. Pharma can gain lateral entry into the second year of the B.Pharma Course. 
  • Good performance in Entrance exams such as  MET, BITSAT, KCET, GPAT, etc.

B.Pharma Course Admission Process:

Students must have a great performance in any entrance exams they appear for since the admission is based on that. Few private colleges take admission on Merit-Basis (marks achieved in class 12th). 

Every college has its own admission process, but usually, colleges require the scores of an entrance exam to give admission into B.Pharma Course.
