A Level Course is an advanced and a second-level course in DOEACC Scheme under Information Technology after O level. It is equivalent to an Advanced Diploma in Computer Applications as recognized by the Government for job purposes. Students who want to pursue the A Level Course have to undergo the entrance exam that is conducted by the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology, NIELIT.

The A Level Course abbreviation is Advanced Subsidiary Level Examination. The course usually starts in the month of January and July every year. Students can pursue the A Level Course after completing the O Level Course. Students who have completed their O Level & A Level course both, then it becomes equivalent to BCA i.e Bachelors Of Computer Application.
The A Level course Syllabus consists of 10 theory modules (nine compulsory modules and one elective module) and one project. Candidates who successfully qualify for the A-Level course from the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology, NIELIT becomes eligible for various job assistance and many employment opportunities get open for them.
The Eligibility Criteria for A Level Course is based on the requirements of the Department of Electronics Accreditation of Computer Courses (DOEACC) Society. Project: After the completion of the second semester, applicants pursuing A-level courses will also have to complete a project holding 100 marks. Now, after the successful completion and clearing of a minimum of 5 theory papers along with the practicals, the candidate has to submit their project with a fee of Rs. 500/-(in the form of a Demand Draft in favor of DOEACC).
