    Combined Defense Services Examination (CDS)

CDS Exam is conducted by the UPSC to recruit candidates as an entry-level officer in Indian Military Academy, Indian Air Force Academy, Indian Naval Academy, and Officers Training Academy. This government exam is conducted twice in a year. The first exam is called CDS I while the other is called CDS II.

CDS I paper is conducted in the month of February every year. But it may change once there is an official announcement by the board. The question paper contains 3 sections having 2 hours for each of the sections. Section I is English, section II is General Knowledge and section III is Maths. According to the student’s reaction, the question paper of CDS I is so easy with not so lengthy questions.

You can get the answer key of the CDS Exam on the same day. The answer key is published by the coaching centers. However, for the official answer key, you have to wait for one or more weeks after the CDS exam.

Like the CDS exam, most of the government exams recruit the candidates in two phases. The first phase is the written exam where objective type questions will be asked. The second is the Interview phase. The officials will judge the intelligence and personality of the candidates. The candidates who qualify in the written exam will be called for the interview round.
