TSPSC Eligibility Criteria 2024

  • Aspirants planning to take the TSPSC exam 2024 should be well-versed in the basic requirements for the examination.

TSPSC Age Limit

Educational Qualifications

1. Eligibility Criteria:

  • The exam candidate must hold a graduate degree.
  • The degree should be from a university recognized by the UGC.
  • A minimum of 50 percentile is required for eligibility.

2. Qualifying Scores:

  • Different communities have specific qualifying scores for the exam.
  • Candidates should check the TSPSC Notification for detailed information on community-wise scores.

Additional Post-Wise Criteria:

  • Candidates are advised to refer to the TSPSC Notification for specific post-wise requirements:

1. Deputy Collector [Civil Services, (Executive Branch)]:

  • Educational Qualification: Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.

2. Deputy Superintendent of Police Category. II (Police Service):

  • Educational Qualification: Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.

3. Commercial Tax Officer (Commercial Tax Services):

  • Educational Qualification: Must possess a Degree from a recognized university.

4. Regional Transport Officer in (Transport Service):

  • Educational Qualification: Must hold a Degree from a recognized university.

5. District Panchayat Officer (Panchayat Services):

  • Educational Qualification: Must have passed a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.

6. District Registrar (Registration Services):

  • Educational Qualification: Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.

7. Deputy Superintendent of Jails (Men) (Jails Service):

  • Educational Qualification: Must possess a Degree from a recognized university.

8. Assistant Commissioner of Labour (Labour Service):

  • Educational Qualification: Must possess a Degree of Bachelor of Arts, Commerce, Science, or Engineering from a recognized university.

9. Assistant Excise Superintendent (Excise Service):

  • Educational Qualification: Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.

10. Municipal Commissioner – Grade-II (Municipal Administrative Service):

  • Educational Qualification: Must Possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.

11. Assistant Director (Social Welfare) including District Social Welfare Officer (Social Welfare Service):

  • Educational Qualification: Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from any University in India established or incorporated by or under a Central Act or a State Act or Provincial Act or an institution recognized by the University Grants Commission. Preference is given to those with a degree in Sociology or Social Work.

12. District Backward Classes Welfare Officer including Assistant Director (District Backward Classes Development Officer) (Backward Classes Welfare Service):

  • Educational Requirement: A bachelor's degree from an accredited university is required.

13. District Tribal Welfare Officer (Tribal Welfare Service):

  • Educational Requirement: A bachelor's degree from an accredited university is required. 

14. District Employment Officer (Employment Service):

  • Educational Qualification: A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.

15. Administrative Officer including Lay Secretary & Treasurer Grade II (Medical & Health Services):

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited university is the minimum educational requirement.

Nationality/Citizenship

1. Nationality Requirement:

  • Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply for positions in the Telangana State PSC (TSPSC).
  • Candidates of non-Indian nationality are not permitted to apply for the TSPSC exam.
