Eligibility for B Tech Computer Science:

After Class 12th:

  • The most common requirement for Engineering is the Science stream in 10+2. You must have Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as your core subjects. English is a compulsory subject. And other subjects include Physical Education, Biology and Computer Science.
  • The minimum marks requirement is 60% in your 10+2. Some institutes also require a minimum mark of 65% in the core subjects (physics, chemistry, and mathematics).

After Diploma in CS:

  • The education board announces that a diploma course is equivalent to 10+2. So, if you want to do a diploma course instead of 10+2 or you want to deeply understand the subjects, you can pursue a Diploma in CS.
  • For lateral entry, the eligibility criteria are different. You should have completed your 3 years diploma in computer science with a minimum total percentage of 60%.
