  • A B.Tech Lateral Course is a 3-year undergraduate course offered in the same specializations as a regular B. Tech course is offered. This course is introduced for students who have pursued a Diploma in Engineering (Polytechnic) course or a BSc. degree in a technical specialization. Candidates who already hold a Diploma in Engineering or BSc. degree in a relevant specialization of technology are eligible to take direct entry in the 2nd year of the BTech course and it is basically called lateral entry in the B.Tech course. 
  • The B.Tech Lateral Entry Course Admission is based on the entrance exam known as LEET and is conducted by State-level education authorities every year.
  • If you are someone who has already acquired a Diploma degree in Engineering or a BSc. degree in a technical specialization, and now you want to pursue a B.Tech degree, you can get an entry directly into the 2nd year of the BTech course. 

BTech Lateral Course Eligibility Criteria

If you have already completed your Diploma in Engineering or a BSc. in the relevant discipline, then You can get a Lateral entry directly in the 2nd year of the B.Tech program.
