  • A minimum aggregate mark of 50% (45% in case of  SC/ST/OBC candidates) at the graduation level is required.

  • The students also get an option to exit after three years of graduation & gain a bachelor’s degree. 
  • Besides this, those having requisite knowledge in the relevant language may still opt for lateral entry at the two-year Master’s level through an entrance exam.
  • The entrance exam is a very important part of the admission process. Most Universities take students according to Marks obtained in the entrance examination.
  •  Moreover, a few also conduct viva-voice or personal interviews. Some of the universities even offer direct entry based on marks secured in the bachelor in foreign languages or equivalent proficiency in the same language.

MA Foreign Language Course Admission:

The minimum requirement for the admission is candidates should have finished their graduation of a three years Bachelor’s degree which is (10+2+3) from a recognized educational institution. As per the rule set by the University for masters in foreign languages, the applicant requires having at least 50% to 60% aggregate marks at the graduation level.

In addition to this Bachelor’s degree, applicants also need to have a requisite background in the respective foreign language to pass the entrance exam. For example, a BA or an Advanced Diploma in the same language or B2 or C1 of the language proficiency exams will enable students to crack the examination. Although the academic session to these programs starts in July or August, the admission procedure starts 2-4 months well in advance.

Firstly, apply online on the official website by submitting the form & fee. Then, after a month or two, the University declares the dates for the joint or common entrance exam. Based on the cut-off list or merit-list of the result & seats available, students finally, get the admission.
