Admission to the B.Sc Zoology program generally occurs by both entry and merit-based exams. Many colleges offer direct admission to the program, as well as enrollment based on eligibility exams. Nonetheless, few universities allow candidates to have qualified for any of the B.Sc Entrance Exams available.
Candidates applying for the B.Sc zoology program should already have their results from the respective Entrance Exams, required by the selected or opted universities beforehand.
Applications for admissions may be obtained either from the website of the University or by visiting the Admissions Office of the same. Candidates are recommended to look at the list of B.Sc Zoology Entrance Exams for various universities.
Candidates must also assure that they qualify with the Education Eligibility criteria with the minimum marks required. A BSc Zoological Graduated candidate can also apply for the M.Sc Zoology Course.
The students are given lateral entry by universities like Annamalai University. Candidates who have passed from a recognized university, the first-year examination of the same, and where the B.Sc Zoology syllabus taught is common to that of the university with at least 75 percent similarity, can be admitted to the second or the third year of the same degree course.
Many who have completed an Undergraduate or Postgraduate program and have not successfully completed the exams would not be considered qualified candidates for admission under the Lateral Entry Scheme.
It is also possible to grant zoology education via distance education mode. In India, there are a huge number of colleges and universities that are providing bona fide education in zoology by mode of distance or correspondence.
