B.Arch Interior Design Course refers to the Bachelor of Architecture in Interior Design. The B.Arch. or the (Bachelor of Architecture) in Interior Design course is an undergraduate course in India, which means, it is a course of 5 years which is divided into 10 semesters of 6 months duration each. This B.Arch Interior Design involves practical training and theoretical knowledge of the subject also. A student becomes an "Interior Designer Architect" or can practice as an "Interior Designer Architect" on successfully passing the B.Arch. (Interior Design) course.

  • Students who have completed his/ her 10+2 in Science stream from any government recognized board/ institute or equivalent with subjects like maths, physics, chemistry with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate fulfill the B. Arch Interior Design Eligibility.
  •  Candidates belonging to the reserved category i.e SC/ST/OBC have to qualify their intermediate with an aggregate 45% marks to fulfill the B. Arch Interior Design Eligibility criteria.
  •  Those having completed a relevant or equivalent recognized Diploma after class 10th are eligible to apply too.

    • NATA- NATA stands for (National Aptitude Test in Architecture ). NATA exam is conducted by the National Institute of Advanced Study in Architecture (NASA), Pune which is a branch of Council of Architecture (COA). The NATA test is compulsory to pass if a candidate is wishing to get enrolled in top universities such as IITs, NITs all over the country.
    • JEE-MAIN (Joint Entrance Exam) is conducted by the IITs all over the country and the admission to IITs can only be secured after clearing JEE.
    • JEE Advanced AAT -  All India Engineering / Architecture Entrance Examination (AIEEE)  specifically Paper 2 of JEE Main is one of the entrance exams which allows the candidates to take admission in the respective colleges.
    • BITSAT  (Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test)- It is a private entrance exam conducted for admission into BITS Institutions, with different criteria and process for admission.
  • AMIE- it stands for Associate Membership of the Institute of Engineers, they also conduct the entrance examination for the working people of the public or the private sector having the diploma in architecture through distance education.
Selection Process:
  • Some colleges/universities conduct their own entrance examination for admission into the course, although there are colleges that enroll students on the basis of merit.
  • Selection of students is based on their performance in a relevant entrance test, followed by a round of Personal Interview.
