Odisha Teachers Eligibility Test (OTET) is conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Cuttack to select the candidates for the post of the teachers for Classes I to VIII in government, private aided, and private unaided in the state of Odisha. It is basically a qualifying exam and the applicants who clear this exam will get the eligibility for Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT) held by the state government.
To work as a teacher for class 1 to 8 in private schools across the state (Odisha) qualifying OTET is mandatory. The exam comprises two levels: Primary level and Upper primary level. The exam is laid down by certain rules and regulations under central regulatory authorities. The aspiring applicants can go for the registration process, after checking out the eligibility criteria.
About OTET Exam 2020: OTET exam is conducted by the board of secondary education, Odisha. Application fee for the OTET exam 2020:
OTET 2020 application fee for the general category candidates is Rs 500 whereas Rs 300 for the reserved category candidates like SC/ST/PWD.
The process to fill the OTET 2020 application form:
Once the applicants found himself suitable for the OTET Exam 2020, they can start to fill the application form for the exam of OTET. This application form includes following things which need to be ready in advance before filling the application form which are:
Personal information consists of name, date of birth, caste, parents name etc. this section also together some other kinds of information like scanned photograph and signature in the appropriate dimension and candidates are also required to enter payment reference number which has got from the SBI.
Candidates are required to select the training status, paper opted for the test, and the language offered for the modern Indian language subjects
In this section, candidates are required to fill their academic details like the name of the university, mark scored, division, total marks etc.
In this section, candidates are required to enter permanent and correspondence address.
At the declaration page, entire information entered by the applicants is going to be displayed. Candidates got to check the data completely and click on the final submit button if all the necessary details are correct. In case the information found wrong, go back into the previous section and edit it. One thing needs to clear that once the data is submitted, no changes are allowed in the existing data.
OTET Exam 2020 exam pattern:
There will be 150 questions for the paper-1 and 150 marks are allocated to all the questions which means one question is off 1 marks. There is no negative marking for this exam.
OTET exam 2020 admit card:
Students need to download the admit card for the OTET exam 2020. For downloading the admit card, candidates are required to visit the official website of the board and using their registration number, download the admit card which is necessary to carry at the time of the examination. Students are required to carry a photo ID proof along with the admit card
OTET Exam 2020 answer key:
OTET exam 2020 answer key along with the OMR sheet will be released by the board after conducting the exam. The link will be present on the official website and students are required to download the answer key of the OTHER exam 2020 using their registration number and match the answer with the answer key.
OTET exam 2020 result:
OTE exam 2020 result will be displayed on the official website. Candidates are required to visit the official website to check their result status. Students can read their result using their registration number as the login ID and date of birth as the password.
BSE Odisha has yet not released any details regarding OTET exam centres. However, candidates can check complete details about their allotted OTET 2020 exam centre on their respective admit cards.
It may be noted that once a test centre is allotted to a candidate it cannot be changed under any circumstances. Regarding the same, the official website informs, “The change of examination centre is not permissible.”
