UTET Exam 2024: UTET is the abbreviated form of the “Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test”, conducted for the post of teachers in the primary and upper primary levels. The Uttarakhand TET Exam is held at the State level. For applying to the UTET Exam, applicants should have a B. Ed. degree from a recognized university in India.

The applicant must pass the intermediate exams with a minimum of 50% marks. Uttrakhand Board of Secondary Education is a sanctioned organization that has the authority to conduct the UTET for recruiting Teachers in Uttarakhand State.

The foundation of the Uttarakhand Board of Secondary Education was laid down on 09 February 1996, Declaration No. 4460 / 15-7-1 (231)/1995. UTET Exam 2024 Guidelines:

  • The regional office of the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad was organized on 9th February 1996 at Ramnagar, Uttarakhand.
  • The first time exams were conducted in 1999 under the regional office at Ramnagar for Garhwal division and Kumaon division.
  • Uttaranchal Shiksha Evam Pariksha Parishad was established on 22 September 1996 followed by the foundation of the new state Uttaranchal from erstwhile Uttar Pradesh.
  • The first time exams were conducted in the 2002 year under Uttaranchal Shiksha Evam Pariksha Parishad.
  • Uttaranchal Board of School Education was created on 22 April 2006 by Uttaranchal School Education Act, 2006 enacted by the Uttaranchal Legislative Assembly.
  • The institution was renamed Uttarakhand Board of School Education on 11 December 2008.

UTET Exam is held in November month every year. There are two levels of the UTET 2024.

  1. UTET Primary Level
  2. UTET Junior Level

Candidates who successfully qualify Paper-I can teach from Class I-V & who those students who qualify Paper-II can teach class VI-VIII. Qualified Candidates can teach in any Govt. or Private School in Uttarakhand State. The exam will take place in 2 different shifts. All applicants who wish to become a primary or upper primary level teacher in the government school of Uttarakhand need to appear for UTET 2024.

UTET Syllabus:

Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test (UTET) will be organized by the Uttarakhand Board of Secondary Education (UBSE), Uttarakhand. This competitive exam is conducted for the recruitment of Primary and Upper Primary level Teachers in the schools of Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand TET exams consist of 2 stages of paper i.e., Paper- I & Paper-II. In addition, Paper- I am recruiting for the post of Primary Level Teachers (Class 1st to 5th). Whereas, Paper-II is to recruit Upper Primary Level Teachers (Class 6th to 8th).  Uttarakhand Board declared UTET Syllabus Applicants can check the complete TET Syllabus and can download it in Pdf file format.

In the Notification section of Uttarakhand TET will be released syllabus through online mode only. On the official portal of UBSE, applicants can check the whole syllabus. Aspirants need to prepare according to the syllabus. The subjects include in it such as Child Development and Pedagogy, Languages (English, Hindi, Urdu, Sanskrit), Mathematics, and Environment Studies. In the language, subject aspirants have to choose any two for Paper- I & II. Also, the environmental Studies subject is only included in the Paper- I question paper.

  • There will be 150 Objective types of questions or MCQs for 150 Marks.
  • The Duration of the UTET Exam is 150 minutes for Paper- I and Paper- II separately.
  • Aspirants can get 01 marks for each correct answer.
  • Also, there will be no negative markings in this entrance exam. 

UTET Admit Card:

UTET is Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test. It is a state-level exam for recruiting a teacher in Primary and Upper Primary Teachers. Interested aspirants who qualify for the UTET will be rewarded with the TET Eligibility Test Certificate. The UTET Admit Card of this exam is expected to be released on the 1st week of Feb 2024. This recruitment is organized for the post of teachers in Government and Privates. 

Eligible applicants can find the Uttarakhand TET Admit Card on the official website at https://ubseonline.uk.gov.in. Further, UBSE will release the UTET 2024. There will comprise 2 stages of paper i.e.,  Paper- I and Paper-II. Aspirants who wish to become Primary teachers can teach a class from 1st to 5th. And applicants who wish to teach class 6th to 8th can recruit as Upper Primary Teachers. 

How to download the UTET Admit Card:

Applicants can only download the UTET Exam admit card via online mode. And applicants who are clearly filled and submit the application form can be issued this with some easy steps. Here, are the process to download the Uttarakhand Exam admit card and which are as follows: 

Step 1. Log on to the web browser and type the official URL/ website of UBSE. Then access the TET portal.

Step 2. Next, go to the link and click on “UTET Exam Admit Card”.

Step 3. Now, log in to your dashboard by entering the application number or password in the given box.

Step 4. After that, enter your personal details such as aspirants' name, date of birth, or OMR sheet Number into the online form. 

Step 5. Then, click on the “submit” option and download the Hall Ticket. 

Step 6. At last, applicants can download it in PDF format and take a final print for future reference.

UTET Answer Key:

The UTET Answer Key will be released by the Uttarakhand Board of School Education (UBSE). Aspirants can check their answer key on the official portal of UBSE i.e., https://ubseonline.uk.gov.in. The provisional answer key of Uttarakhand TET will be expected to be released in the second week of April 2024. Furthermore, the authorities released the final answer key in the last week of January 2024. 

By visiting the official website of UBSE aspirants can download the UTET Answer key. Also, it is an online mode. With this, applicants can check or calculate their marks before the result declaration.

About UTET Answer Key:

  • By the coaching centers, this will be released a few hours after the exam. 
  • Aspirants can estimate their marks but the calculation of scores for Uttarakhand TET Result will only be done according to the Official answer key 2024.
  • With this, you can check the correct answers as per the schedule. 
  • UBSE not only releases the official answer key but also invites objections. 

UTET Exam Marks:

Aspirants can calculate their marks with the knowledge of the marking schemes. The exam contains 150 questions for 150 marks for Uttarakhand TET Paper- I & II. and the marking scheme is as follows: 

  • There will be 01 marks for each correct answer in UTET Exam.
  • There will be no negative marking for an incorrect answer or unattained question. 

UTET Cutoff:

Aspirants who are appearing for the exam must know the UTET Cut-Off marks. These are the minimum qualifying marks that are scored by applicants in the examination. Also, it is necessary to obtain the minimum qualifying marks to get the eligibility certificate for the Uttarakhand TET Exam. The qualifying marks are listed in various categories of candidates that are General/OBC/PwD/ST/SC. The category-wise minimum marks in percentage are shown below:

  • For general or unreserved applicants the minimum marks are 60%.
  • For OBC or PwD applicants the minimum qualifying mark is 50%. 
  • For Scheduled Caste (ST) or Scheduled Tribe (ST) applicants, it is 40% minimum marks.

UTET Result:

Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test UTET Result has been announced in the month of January (Tentative). The UTET result will be declared on the official website i.e., https://ubseonline.uk.gov.in. Furthermore, applicants can check their results by entering the roll number or registration number and date of birth on the official portal. Eligible applicants can secure total marks and marks obtained in each subject or level- 1 and 2.

Those who are qualified for the UTET Exam first round that is a written test can be eligible to give the second round i.e., an Interview session. Usually, the result will be declared after 45 days of the written examination date.
