Super TET 2021:

Super TET is generally known as Super Teacher Eligibility Test is one of the eminent exams conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) to recruit deserving and eligible candidates for the teaching profession at primary and secondary stages in government schools.

Super TET Exam is basically conducted to gauge the intelligence of candidates who want to make their career in the teaching profession so that the quality of teaching can be improved by selecting only the best and deserving candidates. 

Required Documents for Super TET:

2 sets of all the relevant teaching certificates duly self-attested.

➥ 4 passport size photographs.

➥ Bank Draft in the name of “Secretary Uttar Pradesh Basic Shiksha Parishad, Prayagraj’ of amount INR 500 (for General/OBC) and INR 200 (SC/ST) as the application fee.

This Super TET is an offline-based examination that is conducted annually for appointing primary teachers and nowadays it has been made compulsory certification by various UP-based state schools for hiring teachers for Class 1st to 5th.

The candidates who have either qualified UPTET or CTET successfully, along with having a Graduation Degree, are eligible to fill up the Super TET Application Form. Also, the candidates who possess a Bachelor’s in Education (B.Ed) Degree are also eligible to apply for this Certification but he/she must have qualified UPTET.

Aspirants who successfully clear their UPTET or CTET exam can apply for the Super TET. The exam is mandatory for teaching jobs in Government as well as Private class 1 to class 8. The Super TET Exam is conducted in order to fulfill and achieve the goals of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act.

Super TET Paper 2021:

The Super Teacher Eligibility Test (Super TET Exam) is conducted by Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board to recruit candidates who are willing to be in the teaching profession and have the required certifications, knowledge, and skills.  

Recently, in 19th September, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath ordered the Basic Education Department to recruit 69,661 Assistant Teachers within a week as a strong move towards providing enough job employment opportunities to the young generation.

Earlier in November 2021, the basic education department will conduct a recruitment examination for filling the 69000 vacant positions of Assistant Teachers. The state government issued a notice stating that in this examination, the general candidates need to score 65% and candidates from backward and other reserved classes need to score 60% as the minimum percentage of marks for an appointment.

Forgiving the Super TET Exam, the eligible candidates need to apply online by filling the Super TET Application Form.

There are a number of vacancies which were released by the concerned government. So it is a golden chance for all the candidates who always dreamt of having a Government Job as a Government Teacher. 

But due to this World Wide Spread of CoronaVirus and Declaration of National Lockdown, the governing authority is unable to conduct Super TET Exam. The governing authority, Basic Education Parishad has declared that for now, there is a delay in the Super TET Exam but they will surely conduct the same in the second half of the year 2021.

The aspiring candidates who are willing to appear for Super TET 2021 Exam should first understand the basic details of the Super TET Exam, which are mentioned below:

  • Super TET is basically a state-level teacher eligibility test, which is conducted by UP Basic Education Board for hiring deserving and passionate candidates.
  • After successfully clearing this examination,  the candidates will be eligible to teach at the primary and secondary level in government schools.
  • The Super TET is conducted on an annual basis in an offline mode.
  • Super TET is one of the prominent certifications for candidates who are in the teaching profession. 
  • Super TET Exam can be seen as the second level of exams after clearing the first level of state exams. 
  • One very important point which is to be noted is that only those candidates who have successfully cleared Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) are eligible to appear in the Super TET.
  • The candidates who are applying for Super Teaching Eligibility Test (Super TET), must ensure that they meet the Super TET Minimum Eligibility Criteria and then fill the Super TET Form.

Super TET Eligibility Criteria:

  • The candidates are required to meet the following minimum eligibility criteria for appearing in the Super TET Exam, failing to which they will not be allowed to sit in the exam.
  • In brief, only those candidates who are UPTET/CTET Qualified and having a Graduation Degree are eligible to apply online by filling the Super TET Form.
  • Even the candidates possessing a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed) are also eligible to apply for this certification but they must be UPTET/CTET Qualified also.   
Super TET Primary Teachers (Class 1st to 5th):
  • Aspirants must have passed Class 12th with at least 50% marks and passed 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education OR
  • Aspirants must have passed Class 12th with at least 50% marks and possess 4 years’ Bachelors of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed) Degree OR
  • Aspirants must have passed Class 12th with at least 50% marks and have also passed in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR
  • Aspirants must have a Graduation Degree and passed a 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education OR
  • Aspirants must have a Graduation Degree and Bachelor’s in Education (B.Ed) Degree
Super TET Junior Teachers (Class 6th to 8th):
  • Aspirants must have held a bachelor's degree and BTC from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). 
  • Aspirants must have held a bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks and B.Ed / B.Ed Special Education from Rehabilitation Council Of India (RCI).
  • Aspirants must have completed Intermediate with at least 50% marks and 4 years in B.A/ B.Sc.Ed/ B.A.Ed from N.C.T.E and UGC with the recognized institute.
  • Aspirants must have completed Intermediate with at least 50% marks and 4 years in B.El.Ed in Primary Education.
  • Aspirants must have held a bachelor's degree with at least 45% marks and a B.Ed degree.

Age-Related Eligibility Criteria:

  • For being eligible to appear for this exam, the candidate needs to be in the age bracket of 21 years to 40 years. (Minimum Age=21 years and Maximum Age=40 years)
  • Age Relaxation is provided to candidates who belong to caste categories like OBC/SC/ST and Differently Abled. If the candidate belongs to OBC/SC/ST, he/she will be given an Age Relaxation of 5 years, and if the candidate is Differently Abled he/she will be given an Age Relaxation of 15 years.

One Important Note: Apart From All The Above Mentioned Eligibility Criteria, The Candidate Should Be Uptet/ctet Qualified. If He/she Possesses The Above Mentioned Degrees And Educational Qualification But Doesn’t Have Uptet/ctet Certification, Then He/she Is Not Eligible To Apply For Super Tet Exam. 

What is TET and Why We Need TET Certificate?

The Teacher Eligibility Test, popularly known as TET is an exam that requires minimum qualification for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for Classes I to VIII. The test is compulsory to get teaching jobs in Indian government schools. There are two papers conducted for TET:

  • Super TET Paper 1 is for teachers of Classes I to V, and
  • Super TET Paper 2 for Classes VI to VIII. 

There is not much difference between TET and CTET or UPTET/KTET/HTET. The only difference between these is that TET is conducted in every state and some of the popular Teacher Eligibility Test are:

The CTET will allow the candidates to get a job in a school that is affiliated with the central government of India such as Kendriya Vidyalaya. Whereas the other Super TET Exam will allow candidates to get a job as a teacher in schools that are affiliated with the state government such as:
