TET Result 2019 (Paper I, II) – Overview

After the successful completion of the exam, the aspirants who have appeared in the exam are now eagerly waiting for the  OTET Result 2019. OTET Cut-off 2019:

Board of Secondary Education, Odisha decided the OTET cut off marks. Once the result will be declared, the authority soon releases the cut-off marks. And with this, they update the merit list on the official web portal. The cut-off will be expected to be set as 60% (150 marks) for general category. And 55% (82 marks) will be set for the other than general category i.e., for OBC/SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/PWD.

Selection Procedure of OTET 2019

There is no fixed selection procedure for OTET 2018 exam, as the exam does not involve any recruitment process. OTET is solely a qualifying exam. The candidates must clear the cutoff prescribed by BSE Odisha to clear OTET 2019 exam. The OTET cutoff details of last year is given below –

Only those applicants who clear the cut-off criteria of OTET will be declared certified in OTET 2018 exam. Minimum 20% of marks scored in OTET will have weight in Teacher Recruitment Process (TRT).

The Validity of OTET 2019 Certificate

The OTET authorization is valid for a period of five years from the date of announcement of OTET result 2019. The candidates who want to improve their score can also appear for the consecutive OTET exam. The candidates must conserve the OTET certificate issued by BSE Odisha, as the certificate is mandatory for Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT).
