How to Check the Cutoff and Counselling for The B.Tech Entrance?

The category-wise cut-off marks will be released on the official website and candidates can check it from there. The cutoff marks for the different branches of Engineering are different. Candidates who score more than the given cut-off marks will be considered eligible for admission for the B.Tech Course.

Steps to check the B.Tech Entrance cut off:

  • Go to the official website of the exam authorities.
  • Click on the BTech cut-off link.
  • Enter your Registration name, roll number, and date of birth.
  • Click the submit button.
  • The exam cut-off will appear on the screen.
  • Download the cut-off marks and save it on your computer.
  • Take a printout of the cut-off marks for further reference.

B.Tech cut off for JEE main:

The JEE main cut-off will be released by the National Testing Agency and candidates can check the cutoff from the official website of NTA. For the JEE main exams, there are 2 types of cut-off marks that are qualifying cutoff marks and admission cut-off marks.

The qualifying cut-off marks are the minimum marks obtained by the candidates to appear for the JEE Advanced Exams.

The admission cut-off marks are the minimum marks obtained by the candidates to get admission to the Institutes that accept the JEE mains score.

For admission to NITs candidates have to undergo the B.Tech Admission Cut off and counselling that is conducted by JoSAA (Joint Seat allocation authority). Candidates who have appeared for the JEE Main Exams can check the previous years’ cut-off from the official website.

B.Tech Entrance Exam Counselling and Admission

The Engineering exam counseling is an important process of admission to the Bachelor of Technology courses. Candidates have to visit the website for the online counseling process.

  • Go to the official website of the authorities.
  • Pay the counseling fee online through the given modes that are credit card/debit card/net banking.
  • Complete the Registration process by entering important details like your name, roll number, application number, Date of birth, personal information, academic information, scanned photograph and signature.
  • Fill in the choice of courses and colleges that you want to apply for B.Tech Admission. It is important for the candidates to choose as many colleges and courses as possible to have improved chances for admission to their desired streams.
  • Candidates will get the allotted seats to the colleges based on their rank secured in the B.Tech exams and the availability of seats. Once the seat has been allotted, candidates have to download the allotment letter from the official website.
  • After the seat allotment candidates have to visit the respective Institute to complete the Document verification process.
