B.Tech Entrance Result 2022

 B.Tech Entrance exams take place every year for admission of the students to the undergraduate courses in Engineering. The B.Tech exams are held at the National level, State level, and University level. The widely popular Engineering exam is the JEE Main which is meant for the admission of the candidates to the IITs and NITs. JEE Main Result:

The B.Tech Entrance exam result for JEE main is normally released in the month of September. Candidates can login to the official website using their Application number and Date of birth. The JEE Main exam is conducted in 4 sessions and the results are declared after each session.

The National Testing Agency releases the JEE Mains Result in the online mode and the candidates can check the results by logging in to the website. The result or the scorecard of the JEE Main exam consists of the percentile score in all the subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. The result also includes the average percentile scored by the candidate in all three subjects. Candidates who score above the minimum cutoff marks will become eligible to apply for the JEE Advanced Exams.

There are a total of 4 JEE main sessions held in one year. A candidate can appear for a single session or multiple sessions. The final score of the candidate will be determined from the best of all 4 sessions. Preparation of the final score of the JEE Main will be on the basis of:

Individual scores were secured in all the 3 subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Maths) for all 4 sessions. The overall percentile will be selected as the best percentile out of all 4 sessions.

JEE Main Normalisation Process:

Since the JEE main exam is conducted in multiple sessions, some sessions may have easy question papers while the other sessions may have tough questions. To make sure that all the candidates are evaluated in a fair and unbiased manner, the National Testing Agency uses the normalization process for the calculation of marks.

The normalization scoring process indicates the total number of candidates who score above or below the topmost scorer of that particular session.

Calculation of JEE main percentile:

  • 100*total number of candidates who appeared for the session with a raw score equal to or less than the T1 score/total number of candidates who have appeared for the session
  • If two or more candidates secure the same percentile in the JEE main B. Tech Entrance exam result there will be a tie-breaker.
  • Given below are the list of subjects considered for tie-breaking in order of their importance:
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • The highest scorer of the subjects in order of priority will get the higher rank.
  • If the marks obtained in all the subjects are the same, the candidate with fewer negative responses will get the higher rank.
  • In case if the above criteria are not met, the candidate who is older in age will get the higher rank.
  • In case if any of the tie-breaking criteria is not met, the candidates in question will be given the same rank.

Points to note for the JEE main Result

  • Candidates can challenge the JEE Mains Answer Key by applying for the same. 
  • Candidates have to pay a fee of INR 200 for every answer that they challenge.
  • The final result will be released on the official website after evaluation of all the answer key objections.
  • The final JEE main result cannot be challenged.

VITEEE Result:

Candidates who have appeared for the VITEEE will get their B.Tech Entrance Result on the official website. The result will be prepared on the basis of the cutoff marks obtained by the candidate in the VITEEE Exams.

  • Go to the official website that is vit.ac.in
  • Click on the VITEEE Result link on the homepage.
  • Enter your VITEEE Application name and password.
  • Click on the submit button.
  • The VITEEE B.Tech Entrance Result will appear on the screen.
  • Download the result and save it on your computer.
  • Take a printout of the result for future reference.

How to calculate the scores of the VITEEE exams?

The final VITEEE Result will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidate in each subject. The total percentile of the candidate will be prepared after the normalization of the scores. The difficulty levels of the different sessions are different. The exam authorities will adjust the scores of the candidates who have appeared for the different sessions based on the normalization of the scores of the candidate. The final rank list will be prepared by the authorities based on the percentile of marks scored by the candidates.

UPSEE Result:

The National Testing Agency declares the result for the UPSEE Exams. The Result will be declared on the official website and candidates can download it from there. If the candidate finds any error or discrepancy in the UPSEE result, he/she must get in touch with the authorities immediately.

Calculation of scores of the UPSEE B.Tech Entrance Results

It is important for the candidates to know the marking pattern in order to calculate the scores. For every correct answer, the candidate will get 4 marks and there is no negative marking for wrong answers.

In the case of tiebreaker candidates who have fewer wrong answers will get the highest rank. 

If the above criteria are the same, then candidates with the best scores in the individual subjects will be given a higher rank.
