ECC Course: ECC Course or Expert Computer Course is a highly advanced course. It is mainly conducted by the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology, NIELIT. The ECC Course is considered much better than CCC & BCC Courses. This course mainly focuses on Understanding computer Hardware, software, and maintenance. It also focuses on the personality development and communication skills of the students. The specialty of the ECC course is that it cannot be pursued directly like the CCC course. This is an upgraded and advanced course, so it is necessary to go through an institute. ECC Course can be completed in a very short span of time i.e 200 hours which in simple terms means 10 months.

The National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology, NIELIT has given the minimum qualification for the ECC Course that will be required by the students to pursue the course. Students have to pass out their 10+2 (Intermediate) to apply for ECC Course from NIELIT. By pursuing the ECC Course each individual will be able to build and upgrade the skills that will help them close the technological gap.

What is NIELIT?

The National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology, NIELIT is formerly known as the DOEACC Society. It works as an autonomous body that is governed by the Ministry of Electronics & Information technology, the Government of India. This institute is basically known for its IT courses like ACC, BCC, CCC, CCC PLUS, ECC Course, and many more. The NIELIT is engaged in Formal, Non-Formal, Short-Term, and DLC (Digital Literacy Courses).

The Digital Literacy Courses comprise:

• ACC- Awareness in Computer Concept.
• BCC- Basic Computer Course.
• CCC- Course on Computer Concept.
• CCC Plus-  Course on Computer Concept Plus.
• ECC- Expert Computer Course.

ECC Course Eligibility Criteria 2024:

 The ECC Course eligibility criteria are set by the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology, NIELIT for all the students who want to pursue this course. In order to pursue the ECC Course, applicants:

• Should be 12th (Intermediate) pass out whether from the Science side or from the Commerce side.

ECC Course Duration 2024:

The ECC Course Duration is comparatively higher and also highly advanced than the CCC Course duration. The ECC Course Duration is:-

The ECC Course duration is higher than the CCC course. The CCC Course duration is of 80 hours (3 months) whereas the ECC Course Duration is of 200 hours (06 months).  The course duration of the Expert Computer Course (ECC) is higher, as it covers the syllabus of CCC and O’Level Courses whereas, CCC Course is just basic computer learning.

ECC Course Syllabus 2024:

The ECC Course syllabus is a combination of the syllabus of the CCC course and O’ level course. It covers the topics studied in both the courses and that too in the briefs. ECC Course Syllabus is a highly advanced syllabus. After doing this course, the candidate will not have to do any other course because this course itself covers the knowledge of two courses.

ECC Course Exam Pattern 2024:

• Mode of the exam- Online exam (No pencil/pen/paper is required)
• Like CCC Course, the ECC Course exam is conducted every year
• Type of question- Objective type questions I(true/false, etc)
• Paper- only one paper
• Negative marking- No

ECC Course Registration form:

• First of all, visit the official website of the official NIELIT student portal.
• On the homepage of the portal click on the “Apply online” option.
• Now under the IT Literacy Programme option, the “ECC Course” option is given.
•  After clicking on the ECC Course option, the “online application form for ECC” will appear on your screen.
• After reading all the information carefully, click on the “I Agreed & Proceed” option.
• Examination Application Form for Expert Computer Concept (ECC) will appear on your window.
• Fill in all the required information on the form like name, father’s name, mother’s name, D.O.B, etc.
• Upload your photograph and your updated scanned image.
• Upload your thumb impression.
• Finally, click on the “Submit” button.
• If required, download the registration form for future purposes.

ECC Course Registration Fee in NIELIT:

• The ECC Course Registration Fee for all the candidates who want to pursue is Rs.500 plus GST (as applicable).
• The Expert Computer Concept Course Examination Fee for all the candidates who want to pursue is Rs.100 + GST.

Note: The ECC Course Registration Fee and Examination Fee can be paid online (credit/debit/net banking) mode or CSC-SPV, NEFT/RTGS online.

ECC Course Admit Card:

After submitting the registration and examination fees and ECC Course Registration form successfully, the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology, NIELIT will release the ECC Course admit card for registered candidates only. For those who have not filled the registration fee or examination fee, their application form will not be considered valid. The ECC Course admit card will contain all the information related to the examination of the ECC Course.

• First of all, visit the official website of the official NIELIT student portal.
• On the homepage of the portal click on the “Apply online” option.
• Now under the IT Literacy Programme option, the “ECC Course” option is given.
• Now under the “search my application number” option, examination year, name, enter application number, & captcha code will be given.
• Fill in all the boxes.
• Click on the “Submit” button.
• Finally, The  “ECC Course admit card” will appear on your screen.
• Download the  ECC Course admit card for your upcoming ECC examination. 

ECC Course Result:

As soon as the exam of the ECC Course is completed, NIELIT will release your result. Those who applied for the ECC Course exam can go to the official site of NIELIT and download their ECC Course Result.

• Go through the official website of the official NIELIT student portal i.e www.nielit.gov.in/
• Now, on the homepage of the portal click on the “Apply online” option.
• Under the IT Literacy Programme option, the “ECC Course” option is given.
• On the homepage of the portal click on the “view result” option given on the right-hand side of the page.
• Click on the “view result” option.
• Three options will appear on your screen-Search by roll number, search by roll number, search by candidate name, search by application number.
• Now, select any one of your choices to check your ECC Course Result.
• Now, fill in all the required information in it.
• Finally, the  ECC Course Result will appear on your screen.
• Download the result for future use.

How to Download the ECC Course Certificate?

• Candidates are required to go through the official website of the official NIELIT student portal i.e www.nielit.gov.in/
• On the homepage of the portal click on the “Apply online” option.
• Under the IT Literacy Programme option, the “ECC Course” option is given.
• On the right-hand side of the portal, the “download certificate option” will be available, click on it.
• Click on the “Regular Certificate” option
• Under the select option, find out the “Expert Computer Course”, click on it.
• Then, enter your year, month, roll number, and D.O.B in it and click on the “Submit” button.
• Finally, the ECC Course Certificate will appear on your screen.
• Download your certificate for future use.

Who can opt for the ECC Course?

• O’level student.
• Students who have completed their CCC Course.
• Applicants can pursue the ECC Course parallel to the CCC Course.
