Although they prefer male candidates, this school has certain guidelines that need to be considered before admission.
- The candidate must possess a 10th-grade certificate with a minimum of 50% marks.
- He must also hold a 12th pass certificate from a recognized university.
- He must be fluent in Hindi and English.
- The candidate must hold a medical certificate from a recognized university authorizing his medical fitness.
Admission process for Indian navy Diving School:
Interested candidates must write an application to the Officer-in-Charge at the Diving school along with a demand draft of Rs. 9,600/-.

Roles of a commercial diver:
A commercial diver is responsible for a number of duties on the ocean vessel.
- Hull Cleaning:

- Salvaging:
Recovery of all parts of a ship such as cargoes, aircraft, and ships from underwater.
- Underwater Welding and cutting:
Special equipment is used to weld and manage parts of a ship, by skilled professionals such as divers.
- Underwater Videography:
Making videos of underwater caves, treasures, sunk ships, or cargoes.
- Underwater obstacle-clearing:
Clearing up the course of ships, by diving underwater.
- Underwater surveys:
