College of Engineering, Roorkee Admission 2024: How to Apply, Important Dates

College of Engineering Roorkee Admission Procedures 2025-24:

College of Engineering Roorkee is currently taking admissions online as well as offline. To apply for COER Admissions 2025 via online mode, follow the given steps:

1. Visit the official website coer.ac.in, On the homepage, you will find an option “APPLY NOW”
2. Register by entering basic details like name, email ID, password, contact number, and desired course. After that, click on ‘Registration/Enquiry Form
3. Log in by using the same email and password.
4. The application form will appear on the home screen, fill in all the required details.
5. Upload the scanned file of the required documents along with passport size photograph
6. Complete the final step by paying the application fee using Netbanking, Credit Card, or Debit Card.

Eligibility Criteria to take admission in B.Tech 1st Year:

For Indian Applicants

Students who have completed their Higher Secondary Education or equivalent education with a minimum 50% aggregate in 3 main subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and those who have appeared in JEE Mains Entrance can apply to take admission in B.Tech 1st year. Please note that the COER B.Tech admissions are based on JEE merit list. The students who have scored well in JEE entrance will be given more preference during admissions.

For NRI Applicants/ Foreign National Applicants 

The applicant must score a minimum of 50 percent in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths in their Higher Secondary exams from any Indian institution or foreign institution. the Merit will be determined by the total marks scored by the applicant in the qualifying examinations, It is mandatory for NRI applicants to submit a copy of the certificate from Indian Diplomatic Mission or Chancellor or High Commission attested with their seal to prove that the candidate or his her guardian (Mother/father/real brother or sister) is an NRI.

Documents required to take admission in 1st year B.Tech:

1. Copy of JEE Main Score Card
2. 10+2 Mark Sheet photocopy
3. 10th Marksheet Photocopy
4. Aadhar Card
5. Character Certificate from the last school
6. Three Passport size photographs
7. Transfer Certificate 

Eligibility Criteria to take admission in B.Tech Lateral Entry(2nd-year Admission)

COER accepts UKSEE qualified candidates in B.Tech Lateral. The candidate is required to pass the B.Sc examination with Mathematics as one of the main subjects and must secure 60% marks in Diploma of Engineering or any other equivalent examination. Those candidates who fulfill these criteria can only apply for direct admission in the second year.

Documents required to take admission in 2nd year Btech Lateral:

1. Photocopy of UKSEE Score Card.
2. Photocopy of Aadhar Card
3. Photocopy of 10th mark sheet
4. Photocopy of 12th mark sheet
5. Diploma mark sheet
6. Original Copy of Character Certificate from the last school
7. 3 passport size photographs
8. Transfer Certificate 

Eligibility Criteria to take admission in M.Tech 1st Year:

Candidates who have a B.Tech degree in Computer Science or Mechanical Engineering or have an equivalent degree with an aggregate of 60%marks and an eligible GATE score  

Will be given more priority during the admission process. Students fulfilling these criteria will be given direct admission without any University Entrance Exam.

Documents Required to take admission in M.Tech course

1. Photocopy of Valid GATE score Card OR UTU PGEE Scorecard.
2. Photocopy of aadhar card.
3. 10th Marksheet and Certificate
4. 12th Marksheet and Certificate
5. Diploma/Equivalent Examination mark sheet 
6. Character Certificate from the last school
7. 3 passport size photographs
8. Transfer Certificate
