The college has the vision to make the students entrepreneurs so that they become job providers, not job seekers. The admissions are offered on the basis of JEE Mains Score, GATE, and LEET entrance examinations. Ambala College of Engineering and Applied Research Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for B.Tech Course

Ambala College of Engineering offers a UG Engineering course program in four specializations. A candidate must score a valid score in JEE Main entrance examination to get admission to the B.Tech course. For admission in B.Tech lateral entry, candidates must have passed the Diploma in Engineering with at least 45% aggregate marks and must have to appear for OLET LEET entrance examinations.

CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) conducts JEE Main entrance examinations and candidates who want to take admission in ACEAR must have to secure a valid score in the same. OLET LEET is the entrance examination for Lateral Entry conducted by Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES). OLET LEET is a state-level entrance examination that offers admission in B.Tech (Lateral entry). Many well-known colleges offer lateral entry in B.Tech courses on the basis of OLET LEET Performance and rank secured by the candidate.

ACER gives relaxation of 5% marks in the eligibility criteria of minimum marks required in 10+2 and Diploma for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category.
The candidate must have taken Physics and Mathematics as main subjects along with any of the following Chemistry/Biology/BioTechnology and Computer Science.
For B.Tech in Biotechnology, Physics and Biology are compulsory subjects in 10+2.
For the B.Tech lateral entry program, HSTES approved Diploma degree is mandatory. Candidates with a diploma in engineering from an AICTE approved institution or B.Sc degree from a UGC (University Grants Commission) recognized university are also eligible to enroll in the B.Tech lateral course.
The candidates with a B.Sc degree from a UGC recognized university with at least 45% aggregate marks and passed in 10+2 with Mathematics as a subject are also eligible to apply.

Eligibility for M.Tech Programmes

ACEAR offers M.Tech courses in four specializations. GATE qualified candidates are eligible to apply for the Master course in Engineering. Candidates can apply online to take admission in the M.Tech Course. The application form and prospectus can be downloaded online followed by submission at the college.

Please note that :

Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category must have a minimum of 50% of aggregate marks in graduation to be eligible for admission in the M.Tech course.

1. Candidates who are looking forward to take admission in Ambala College of Engineering and Applied Research can apply online by visiting the official website of the college i.e https://www.ambalacollege.com

2. Then click on the tab "Admission" and there you will find an option "Apply Online"

Click on the option.

3. Now you need to register yourself on the website by entering your email address, phone no. and other required details.

4. You will receive a verification code on the registered email or mobile , enter the otp and verify yourself and set a password. Now you are registered on the website.

5. Now, Login using the same registered email address or mobile no. and password.

6. Fill the application form and enter all the required details like name, course, age, D.O.B etc.

7. Upload the required documents as asked in the application form in the required format. You may be asked to upload these documents, so keep the scanned copy of these documents handy:

The Ambala College of Engineering and Applied Research Offers various scholarship schemes based on the entrance examinations ,merit lists and Financial situation of the family of the student. Below mentioned are the scholarships offered by ACEAR.

ACE Merit Scholarship Programme

Scholarship is offered on the basis of the percentage secured by the candidate in 10+2 examinations in the main subjects Physics, Chemistry and Maths.
ACE Merit Scholarship is also offered, based on the percentage in Polytechnic Diploma Examinations.
The maximum amount of ACE Scholarship is Rs 40,000.

SRSMT Scholarship ( Based on SRMT Scholarship test)

SRSTMT Scholarship is offered on the basis of the rank holded by the candidate in SRSMT Scholarship test for 10+2 Non medical/Medical and Diploma Students. Scholarship under Government of Haryana Scheme

Government of the state Haryana and government of India Scholarships scheme are admissible at Ambala College of Engineering and Applied Research for all the eligible students.

The successful placement rate of Ambala College of Engineering is almost 90 percent. The college trains its students to work effectively in the industrial sector and become a useful resource to his/her organisation , each and every student is well trained to meet the organisational standards and get hired by the best of the companies. The placement process of ACEAR consists of three stages in which the Placement cell plays the main parts, first one is Initiation where the T&P officer invites the recruiting organisations, where slots for recruitment are decided mutually.

Second comes the selection process in which the students are informed about the placement drive and the criteria for selection and guidelines listed by the recruitment organisations. The companies visit the campus and carry out their recruitment process. The last stage is Acceptance when the organization lay out a final list of the shortlisted students at the end of the process to the Training and Processing Officer. It is the responsibility of TPO to coordinate with the students for signing offer letters by the selected students and make sure to inform them to reach the recruiting organisation on the due date.
