The NorthCap University was established in the year of 1996 and is situated at Gurgaon, Haryana. The university was established by the Educate India Society to provide higher education in the fields of engineering and management. It was set up as a private engineering university under the act of registration of societies (1860). The NorthCap University is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI), The University Grants Commission (UGC), Association of Indian Universities (AIU), Accreditation Services for International Colleges (ASIC), Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). The university is affiliated with  Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak and it is also renamed as ITM university.
