J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology

In 1969, J.C Bose University of Science and Technology was established. It is also known as the YMCA University of Science and Technology (YMCA UST). National Council of YMCAs of India, Central Agencies for Development Aid, Germany, Bonn, and the Government of Haryana collaborated with the university at the time of establishment. The university aims to provide quality technical education to all students. The university has been accredited by NAAC and approved by AICTE. J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology was recognized by the University Grants Commission. In 2009, the institute was converted into a university level by the State Government of Haryana. The workshops and labs were undertaken by the German expertise to impart German education patterns in India. 

J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology offers various undergraduate and postgraduate courses. It offers a B.Tech degree course of 4 years in seven streams i.e. Electronics & Instrumentation Control, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. M.Sc (Physics, Maths, Chemistry & Environmental Sciences), MCA, MBA, M.A.(Mass Communication and Journalism), M.Tech(Electronics Engineering & Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering), and Ph.D. The university also offers bachelor of vocational courses(BVoc) to the students. 

The university follows the German education pattern and this speciality makes the university different from other colleges of Haryana.  It has 18 affiliated engineering colleges in Palwal and Faridabad. The area of the university is spread over 27 acres with excellent IT Infrastructure, well-furnished classrooms, two reading halls, a Library, a hostel facility for both boys and girls, sports facility. Medical facility, labs, cafeteria, wi-fi campus, shuttle service, gym, convenience store auditorium
