The University of Engineering and Technology, Roorkee which is now known as the College of Engineering, Roorkee (COER) is a Private Engineering College which is located in Roorkee, Uttarakhand. The institute is located on Delhi-Haridwar Highway- 58 which is about 180 km North of Delhi. Iconic institutions like IIT Roorkee, Central Building Research Institute, IIT Roorkee, National Institute of Hydrology, Irrigation Research Institute of Hydrology, Bengal Engineers Group, and Centre of Indian Army. The institute was founded in 1998 by the Seth Roshan Lal Jain Trust in 1988 as the first private engineering college in Roorkee.

On February 15th, 2024 the Government also approved the institute as a State Private University. The College of Engineering Roorkee (COER) offers various courses across different departments. For B.Tech. courses the candidates must have scored good marks in their 10+2 and also in their JEE mains exam.
UNDERGRADUATE COURSES
1. Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) - The Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) at the University of Engineering and Technology, Roorkee is a 4-year on-campus full-time degree course. The specializations of the B.Tech.program include Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering. The candidates must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks (40 for SC ST categories) with Physics, Chemistry, and Maths main subjects in the 12th grade.
2. Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)- The Bachelor of Business Technology is a 3-year on-campus full-time degree course. The candidates must have passed class 12th exams from a recognized board.
3. Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) - The Bachelor of Computer Application is a 3-year on-campus full-time degree course with a minimum of 45% marks. Mathematics should be the main subject in the 12th class.
4. Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com)- The Bachelor of Commerce is a 3-year on-campus full-time degree course. The candidates must have passed 12th from a recognized board.
