The University of Engineering and Technology, Roorkee which is now known as the College of Engineering, Roorkee (COER) is a Private Engineering College which is located in Roorkee, Uttarakhand. The institute is located on Delhi-Haridwar Highway- 58 which is about 180 km North of Delhi. Iconic institutions like IIT Roorkee, Central Building Research Institute, IIT Roorkee, National Institute of Hydrology, Irrigation Research Institute of Hydrology, Bengal Engineers Group, and Centre of Indian Army. The institute was founded in 1998 by the Seth Roshan Lal Jain Trust in 1988 as the first private engineering college in Roorkee.

On February 15th, 2024 the Government also approved the institute as a State Private University. UNDERGRADUATE COURSES

1. Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) - The Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) at the University of Engineering and Technology, Roorkee is a 4-year on-campus full-time degree course. The specializations of the B.Tech.program include Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering. Master of Business Administration (MBA) - Master of Business Administration is a 2-year full-time on-campus degree course. The candidates must have scored 50% marks in their graduation. The graduation degree must be from a UGC-recognised institute.

2. Master of Technology (M.Tech) - Master of Technology is a 2-year full-time on-campus degree course. The candidates must have scored a minimum of 45% marks in the graduation degree of a relevant field. The candidate must have cleared the GATE exam with a valid score.

Master of Computer Application- Master of Technology is a 2-year full-time on-campus degree course. The candidates must have scored 50% marks in their graduation from a recognized college. Mathematics must be the main subject in 10+2.
