College of Engineering

College of Engineering Roorkee (COER) was established in 1998 by Seth Roshan Lal Trust, located on NH-8 (National Highway) near Roorkee. The college offers various UG, PG, and Diploma courses in the field of Management and Engineering. The admissions are provided on the basis of the merit list and exams like UKSEE, GATE, and JEE Main. The eligibility criteria to take admission in COER depends on the course the student is applying for.

COER accepts admissions based on qualified competitive/entrance exams like UKSEE, JEE Mains, and GATE in courses like B.tech, B.tech(Lateral), Mtech, Mtech(Lateral). The college offers 7 specializations under B.tech Programmes with a total seat intake of 750. The M.Tech program offers only 2 specializations with fixed seats of 18 in each specialization.

The COER campus area is spread over 75 acres of land surrounded by greenery and a serene environment. The college is approved by the All India Council of Technical Education and has an affiliation with Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun. COER provides state-of-the-art infrastructure, conducts research & development activities, has a strong industry-institute interface, faculty, and staff development programs which ensures not only to strengthen the core of the education, but also the core of physical and moral aspects of the student. The college also emphasizes the activities which can help the students to enhance their communication skills and personality development. 

COER has a good infrastructure with well-equipped laboratories, fully facilitated rooms, and seminar halls so that students can get a space to develop the skills and abilities to work as confident and well-trained individuals in the future. Internet facility, student center, cafeteria, ATM, transportation, medical facility, central library, health club, auditorium, conference halls, saloon, etc are other facilities provided by the college. The college also conducts some additional programs to provide extra skill sets to their students, some of them are Digital Marketing, Research Methodology, Personality Development. Reasoning Development and many more. These additional programs help students to be confident and to become suitable as per the industry’s expectations.
