In 2024, the Faculty of Engineering and Technology was reinstated within the University of Lucknow, emerging as one of its prominent faculties. The faculty envisions global recognition for delivering exceptional engineering education with a pioneering focus on an interdisciplinary approach. The Faculty of Engineering and Technology at the University of Lucknow is responsible for offering engineering education and conducting research in the field of technology.
Its core mission is to cultivate morally conscious, dynamic, and skilled engineering professionals who will lead the nation toward a brighter tomorrow. The faculty offers a comprehensive B.Tech. program across five engineering disciplines: Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.
Additionally, it provides BCA and MCA programs. Admission to the B.Tech and MCA programs occurs through UPSEE, which is administered by Dr. Abdul Kalam Technical University. Situated in Lucknow’s Jankipuram extension, the Faculty of Engineering and Technology is located within the University’s second campus. The faculty endeavors to merge sustainable development principles with its teaching approach, fostering eco-consciousness. Moreover, the campus has embarked on energy conservation initiatives, including the harnessing of solar energy resources.

The candidates should have successfully completed their Intermediate examination with Physics and Mathematics being the mandatory subjects.
Applicants should have successfully cleared their intermediate or equivalent examination, having taken Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, Information Practices, Computer Technology, and Maintenance, as one of their subjects, and have achieved a minimum aggregate of 50% in total from an accredited educational board, are qualified to submit their applications.
Candidates who have achieved a 55% aggregate in their BCA, B.Sc (Computer Science), or B.Sc. (IT) are eligible.
The University of Lucknow conducts admission through an entrance test and subsequent counseling sessions. The university provides a wide array of over 150 courses at the Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Research levels. These courses are available both on the university campus.
Admission into the Undergraduate courses at Lucknow University is contingent upon performance in the Under Graduate Entrance Test (UGET). Similarly, the Post Graduation Entrance Test (PGET) is a crucial factor for gaining admission into the Postgraduate programs. As for the B.Tech program, admission is determined by the JEE Main Rank. followed by UPTAC counseling.
To secure admission into the first year of the B.Tech program in the first semester (starting from the academic year 2024-25) or to enter directly into the second year of the B.Tech. program in the second year of the B.Tech program in the third semester, candidates must participate in the UP State Entrance Examination organized by AKTU, Lucknow, or follow the guidelines set by the University’s executive council.
Candidates must have successfully completed the final examination of the 10+2 education system or its equivalent with subjects such as Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics, as specified, to be eligible for the Entrance Examination. Additionally, candidates should be residents of UP.
For lateral entry admission into the second year of the B.Tech program, candidates who have obtained ¾ year diploma (with a minimum of 60% marks) from institutions recognized by the UP Board of Technical Education in any engineering/ technology field except for Agriculture Engineering, are eligible.
A portion of seats, up to 5%, may be filled through NRI/direct/sponsored admissions. These seats are considered extra and won't require candidates to take the entrance examination. Instead, admission will be based on the candidate's previous academic performance, as per the provided guidelines. The fee structure for such students will be communicated accordingly.
In all scenarios, candidates seeking admission to the B. Tech. program need to satisfy the following conditions: a. Meet the minimum academic qualifications as outlined. b. Follow the prescribed admission procedure and submit the required fees.

The Training and Placement Cell was established with the purpose of facilitating a streamlined recruitment process for potential employers and supporting comprehensive student development at the University of Lucknow’s Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FoET0. The Placement Cell operates as a proactive contributor to student’s extracurricular growth. The FoET dates back to 2017 when it became an integral part of the new University of Lucknow campus.

The institute provides excellent accommodations for its students, with separate facilities for both male and female students. The hostel has a total of 54 fully furnished rooms, ensuring comfort and convenience. To ensure the safety of the students, biometric machines are installed for thumbprint-based attendance tracking. Within the hostels, there is a state-of-the-art, air-conditioned computer lab equipped with internet connectivity.
