This two-year course is divided into four semesters. Pharmaceutical Analysis is a branch of practical chemistry that involves identifying, determining, and purifying pharmaceutical agents such as plants, microorganisms, minerals, synthetic compounds, etc.
It includes the detailed deconstructing of chemical compounds that make up or formulate pharmaceutical products. The curriculum of the course includes reviewing the different quality systems used to employ chemical chemistry.
Pharmaceutical analysis is the analysis of drug quality through the use of analytical procedures. It covers a wide range of technical subjects such as critical CMPs regulations, FDA Guidance, and ICH quality guidelines. It also includes the study of efficient use of resources and maintenance of standard regulations in the laboratory environment by employing procedures of analytical chemistry.
The course aims to equip students with the overall and sound knowledge of drug-based substances, drug manufacturing through analytical and statistical tools. Students are taught both the theoretical and practical aspects and skills which are needed for students to operate medical instruments during drug analysis. They are also taught how to determine the drug quality by analytical tools of chemistry.
