HTML Course:

HTML stands for HyperText Markup Language, it is the standard markup language which is used for documents designed in a web browser. It can be expedited by technologies such as Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and scripting languages such as JavaScript.

HTML uses "markup" to commentate text, images, and other content for getting them  displayed in a Web browser. HTML markup includes some special "elements" that are <head>, <title>, <body>, <header>, <footer>, <article>, <section>, <p>, <div>, <span>, <img>, <aside>, <audio>, <canvas>, <datalist>, <details>, <embed>, <nav>, <output>, <progress>, <video>, <ul>, <ol>, <li> and many others.

  • Hypertext refers to how Web pages (HTML documents) are linked together.
  • HTML indicates Markup Language which means you use HTML to simply "mark-up" a text document with tags that tell a Web browser how to structure it to display.

Note: HTML is now being widely used to format the web pages with the help of different tags available in HTML language.

A Simple Example Of HTML Document:

<!DOCTYPE html>

<title>Page Title</title>

<h1>My First Heading</h1>

<p>My first paragraph.</p>

Explanation Of The Example Of HTM:
  • The <!DOCTYPE html> defines that this document is to be HTML5.
  • The <html> refers the root element of an HTML page.
  • The <head> element includes meta information about the document.
  • The <title> specifies a title for the document.
  • The <body> contains the visible page content.
  • The <h1>  defines a large heading.
  • The <p> it defines a paragraph.

 HTML Language-

HTML is acknowledged as a markup language. It covers, or “marks up” data within HTML tags, which define the data and describe its purpose on the web page. The web browser then reads the HTML, which tells it things like which parts are headings, which parts are paragraphs, which parts are links, etc. The Hyperlink Markup Language HTML describes data to the browser, and then the browser displays the data accordingly.

The HTML should not be considered as a programming language. The programming language has functional purposes. As a markup language HTML  doesn’t do anything in real in the sense that a programming language does. HTML contains no programming logic. Even though it doesn't include common conditional statements such as If/Else. It is unable to evaluate any expressions.

It can't even perform maths. In HTML neither you can declare variables nor can write functions. It doesn’t modify or manipulate data in any way. HTML can’t take input and produce output. Let's take an example- think, you can’t compute the sum of 2 + 2 in HTML; that’s not what it’s for, This is because HTML is not a programming language
