GNM Course Eligibility

The main eligibility criteria for pursuing General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) Course are as follows:

  1. Students must have completed class 12th in the science stream (physics, biology, and chemistry as main subjects) from a recognized education board.
  2. Along with that, students have to score a minimum aggregate of 50% to 60% marks in the class 12th board examination.
  3. Students also have to appear in the GNM entrance exam and have to score valid marks to get selected for admission to the college.

GNM Course Admission Process

The admission procedure of GNM is mostly based on the entrance examination conducted by the respective state. The GNM entrance examination is conducted once a year.

Students who are looking to get admission to the GNM Course must fulfill the eligibility criteria and then apply for admission to general nursing and midwifery.

In order to get admission to the college, students have to appear in the GNM entrance examination and have to pass it with good marks. The admission procedure of the GNM course is divided into two ways one is merit-based and the second is entrance-based. 

GNM Course Merit-Based Admission

Very few colleges provide admission to students based on the merit list marks obtained in the board examination.

To apply for merit-based admission steps are mentioned below:

  1. You can apply to the institute by filling out the application form, providing documentation of your qualifications, and paying your application fees.
  2. The college will release a list of students who have been selected for admission, after evaluating their academic scores.
  3. The students who make the shortlist will receive an offer letter.
  4. After you accept the offer, you can enroll within the specified deadline and make an initial payment to secure your place.

GNM Course Entrance Exam-Based Admission

Most of colleges take admission students based on the marks of the entrance examination. The admission process in GNM College is usually done through an entrance Exam.

  1. The students can apply to the particular exam by filling out a form, uploading documents, and paying fees.
  2. The exam dates will be announced on the website and students can download the admit card for the entrance exam.
