Eligibility Criteria of B.Arch

The duration of the course is 5 years and to get admission into B.Arch course the candidates must fulfil the following stipulations:

  • 12th or any equivalent degree with minimum 50% marks along with the obligatory subject of mathematics.
  • 10th + 3 years diploma in any stream from a recognized university/college.
  • Cleared National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) with 80% marks conducted by Council of Architecture
Admission Procedure:
  • Candidates can take admission in this course through National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) entrance test. After this process, shortlisted applicants in the merit list of NATA test will be called for counselling process and on the basis of skills and availability of seats suitable candidate will get admission.
  • Every college or institute has different criteria for admission and moreover state or region have another criterion for admitting the aspirants.
  • Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) is also one of the entrance exams which allows the candidates to take admission in the respective colleges allocated to them. Application forms must be filled within the given deadlines in offline or online mode.

Salary Package/Perks

An architect can earn a remuneration of about Rs 4 Lakhs to Rs 5 Lakhs per annum. The salary will increase with experience in this field. Candidates having a work experience of more than 5 years can get a salary in between Rs 8 Lakhs to Rs 10 Lakhs per year. Architect salary is high in private sector as compared to the government sector. The honorarium will also depend on job profile, company, location & work experience. An Architect can also work as a teacher for commercial drawing subject, a lecturer or professor in college for designing and construction-related subjects. Besides this, aspirants can work as a consultant for real estate organizations as they know the techniques of construction after completion of this course.
