B.E. Naval Architecture and Offshore engineering is a course where candidates learn some basics about the two areas relating to the sea Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering. It is a 4 years graduate course where candidates will have some basic knowledge of Mechanical Engineering fields such as Statistics, Dynamics, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Mechanics of Materials.
The course provides skills and professional knowledge to students for getting them ready to work in the marine/offshore engineering industries.
The industries which recruit B.E. Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineers to design marine machinery, development and operational principle of marine machinery, and other industries are marine classification societies and statutory authorities, naval architecture, shipbuilding, offshore oil, and gas production.
There are many different areas of specialization in Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering these areas include:
Naval Architecture:
Those who deal with the designing process, shipbuilding, maintenance, and operation of marine vessels are naval architects.
Offshore Engineering
Offshore engineering consists of all forms of oil and gas exploration and production which are found on the land.
B.E. Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineer courses are designed for the students to be capable of seeking managerial or engineering positions in various governmental and private shipyards, boatyards, and offshore companies wherever in the world.
B.E Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering is a detailed study of Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering where Candidates will learn about the different aspects and areas of Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering it is a 4-year course that consists of VIII semesters.
In each semester there will be theory exams and practical exams as well. B.E. is a program that allows its students to explore the practical world with theoretical knowledge.
The Fee structure of the program B.E. Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering depends on the institutes. The fee structure varies from institute to institute as you go to the top institute the Fee will raise with it.
We have given an approx fees structure:
Course | Fees |
B.E. Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering | 3,00,000 to 9,00,000 |
The lateral entry students will be given admission in the 2nd year, they don’t have to appear for the 1st year exam they can directly study in the 2nd year which will be the III semester from there they will continue their Studies.
To seek admission in B.E. Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering Candidates should make sure that they fulfill all the eligibility criteria, there are 3 major criteria to enroll in the B.E Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering Programme:
