PTET Exam Application Form 2025

Puducherry TET Application form 2025 will not be released by the Authorities as the exam is not being conducted by DSE since the year 2012. Candidates who want to appear in a TET exam (Teacher Eligibility Test) to acquire a teacher’s job in a government school of Puducherry can apply for these TET examinations - CTET , TN TET , AP TET or KTET .

You can apply for any of these TET exams  through online mode by visiting the official website of the respective exam conducting body. The Notification of the exam will be released on the same official website.

Candidates can visit the official website and check the notifications of the state Teacher Eligibility Test, the Puducherry TET application form 2025 will not be released this year , Candidates who aspire to work as a Government teacher in Puducherry can appear for other valid TET exams such as TN TET , CTET  or any other relevant state TET exam . 

How to fill Puducherry TET Application Form 2025?

Candidates will not be able to fill the Puducherry TET Application form 2025 but yes, they can appear for other TET exams (TN TET) which are valid in Puducherry.

Follow these simple steps to fill the TET application form:

  1. First of all, go to the official website of the exam conducting authority.
  2. Now visit the homepage of the website and you will find the Registration Link notification. Click on the link.
  3. Now a registration form will appear on the screen, Fill all the required details carefully, especially the email address and mobile no
  4. Now Click on the submit button, now a registration no. and password will be sent to your registered email address or mobile no. 
  5. Now login using the registration no./mobile no./email id and password.
  6. Now you can fill your TET Application form.
  7. Fill in the required information like D.O.B, Age, Qualification details.
  8. After filling up the details in the form, upload the scanned documents like passport size photo and 10th mark sheet in the required format (pdf, jpeg, or jpg.)

Below we have mentioned the documents name you need to keep handy during the application process:

  • Scanned Copy of Recent passport size photograph
  • Scanned Image of Candidate’s Signature
  • Scanned Copy of ID proof
  • Scanned copy of Caste Certificate
  • Scanned copy of Age/Birth Certificate
  • Qualifications Certificate (10th passing certificate , 12th passing certificate, degree, etc. )
  • Academic Records ( 10+2 mark sheets, Bachelor or Diploma mark sheets )
  • Experience Certificate (if applicable)
  1. Once the Puducherry TET application form 2025 or any other TET application form is filled and the documents are uploaded successfully, Pay the application fee ( General Category Candidates have to pay Rs 500 for Paper I and Rs 800 for both Paper I & Paper II and SC/ST candidates have to pay Rs 250 for Paper I and Rs 400 for both Paper I & Paper II) using the various online payment methods such as Credit Card, Debit Card and Net Banking. You can also pay the application fee using SBI Challan, after paying through Challan, the candidate needs to update the transaction details like the amount deposited, transaction id, and deposit date.

  2. After updating this, Click on the save button and submit the application form. Also, take a printout of the application form for further use.

Remember that all the details in your application form must be filled correctly and the application fee must be paid before the last date of the application process, you will receive your admit card only if the details filled in the application form are correct and also in the required format.

Any mistake in the application form or documents is liable to the rejection of the application form filled by the candidate and the application fee will not be refunded. So, we strictly advise you to recheck all the details and upload all the documents in the required format.

While filling up the application form, please avoid these common mistakes done by most of the candidates:

  1. First of all, check the Eligibility Criteria for the TN TET or CTET exam and see whether you are eligible for that particular TET examination or not. Don’t fill up the application form without checking your eligibility status.
  2. Fill in Your name correctly as mentioned in your documents. For eg- If your surname is not mentioned in your 10th mark sheet or any other document, avoid using it in the application as well.
  3. Upload your recent passport size photograph. Don’t use your old photograph.
  4. Mention your Date of Birth Carefully, many applications are canceled every year due to minor mistakes in Date of Birth, Name, etc.
  5. Upload the documents in the required format only. Check the size of your document files, the size of files should not exceed or be less than the required file size. Also, the documents should be thoroughly scanned and accurately visible.
  6. Pay the application fee and then submit your application, your application will not be submitted unless the payment gets successfully completed.

NOTE: Teacher Eligibility Test is conducted in all the states across India, Puducherry which is one of the 8 Indian territories of India, Usually the union territories are governed by the Union/Central Government but Delhi, Puducherry, and J&K are some exceptions.

These union territories are governed by their own elected state governments. Earlier Government of Puducherry used to conduct their own TET exam to give eligibility certification to the potential teachers who can teach as qualified teachers in the government-aided schools in Puducherry but Since 2012 this Union Territory administration has not conducted Puducherry TET exam, instead of Puducherry TET certificate , the recruitment authorities are accepting other state TET exams like TN TET and CTET.

Puducherry TET Eligibility Criteria 2025

Puducherry TET was a state-level Teacher Eligibility Test conducted by DSE, Puducherry. The exam was conducted once a year but since 2012 the Union territory Administration is not conductingany state level TET examination in Puducherry, Since 2012 the teachers in the government and private schools of Puducherry are recruited on the basis of TNTET, CTET , APTET and KTET exams.

The exam of these Teaching Eligibility tests are divided into two papers - Paper I and Paper II. Paper I is for the candidates who wish to teach the primary students (Class 1st to Class 5th) and Paper-II is for the candidates who want to teach the students of Upper Primary classes (Class 6th to Class 8th).

Candidates can also apply to appear in both of these Papers if they want to become eligible to teach the students from Class 1st to Class 8th. There are different eligibility criteria for both Papers I and Paper II and these criteria must be fulfilled by the candidate to appear in  any of these TET exams.

In this article, We have mentioned the eligibility requirements which need to be fulfilled by the candidate in order to apply for the Puducherry TET / TNTET. To check your eligibility status, please read the points given below:

Eligibility Criteria for Paper I

To appear in the Puducherry TET/ TNTET or any other relevant TET- Paper I exam, the candidate needs to fulfill any of the following given criteria:

  • The Candidate must have passed the Senior Secondary Exams (10+2) with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. Also, the candidate must possess at least a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) / a 4-year Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) /2-year Diploma in Education or special education (D.Ed)

If you are someone who is appearing in the final year examination of any of the above-mentioned courses, then also you are eligible to apply for the TET Exam. 

  • The candidate who has graduated in any discipline and has passed or is currently pursuing a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) is also eligible to apply for Paper I.

Eligibility Criteria for Paper II

To apply for Paper II, The candidate must fulfill any of these eligibility Criteria:

  • The candidates who want to appear for Paper-II must possess a BA/B.Com/BSc. degree and must have passed or are currently pursuing the 2nd year of the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) course.

  • The Candidates must have a B.Com/B.A/BSc. degree with at least 50% aggregate marks in the final exam of the course. Moreover, they must have passed or are currently pursuing the 1st year of the Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) Course.

  • A candidate having a BA/BSc./B.Com degree with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in the final examinations and having passed or currently pursuing the 1st year of Bachelor in Education (Special Education), can also apply for Paper-II.

  • The candidate must have scored at least 50% aggregate marks in the 10+2 board examinations. Also, they must pass or appear in the 4th year of a 4 year BA.Ed. or BSc.Ed. Course.
