TNTET Exam 2025

TNTET Exam: Tamil Nadu Teacher’s Eligibility Test (TNTET) is organized by the Teacher’s Recruitment Board (TRB) of Tamil Nadu. This Exam is conducted to recruit teachers for the government and private schools of Tamil Nadu. The TNTET is of 2 levels. The first level is for classes I to V and the second class level is for classes VI to VIII. All the details regarding this exam will be uploaded to the official website of the board.   

You can apply for the TNTET Exam once the board releases the date. The result will give you a scorecard that is valid for 7 years. That means you can apply to various schools in Tamil Nadu for up to 7 years.


TNTET 2025

TNTET Exam Form 2025:

The Tamil Nadu board has proposed an idea for the B.Tech students. If you have completed your B.Tech, you can apply for the TNTET. This idea has been implemented in the year 2025. So, it is a great chance for all the B.tech students to grow your career as a teacher. By qualifying for the TNTET 2025 Exam, the B.Tech aspirants will become Mathematics teachers of classes 6th to 8th.

TNTET 2025: Highlights

  • The Tamil Nadu Teacher’s Eligibility Test Exam is an offline Pen-paper based exam that incorporates objective-type questions.
  • Tamil Nadu Teacher’s Eligibility Test Exam has a total of 150 questions which have to be completed in 2 hours 30 minutes.
  • In terms of the marking scheme, there are a total of 150 questions containing 1 mark each. However, for any wrong answer, no marks will be deducted.
  • To qualify for the TNTET 2025, candidates have to obtain a minimum aggregate score of 60% marks.

TNTET Exam 2025: Eligibility Criteria:

To apply for the TNTET 2025 Exam, you should meet the eligibility criteria. Here the eligibility criteria for both Paper I and Paper II are given below. 

Age Limit: The age limit should be between 18-40. But there is some relaxation for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD candidates.

Educational Qualification: It depends on the paper that you have selected, ie, Paper I or II.

TNTET Eligibility Criteria For Paper I:

  • 12th (or it's equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks. Passed or pursued a Diploma in Elementary Education.

OR

  • 12th (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 45% marks. Passed or pursued a Diploma in Elementary Education as per the NCTE Regulations 2002.

OR

  • 12th (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks. Passed or pursued a 4-year Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. 

OR

  • Graduation and pursuing or passing a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

OR

  • Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks. Passed or pursuing final year of Bachelor of Education.

OR

  • 12th with a minimum of 50% marks. Passed or pursued a 2-year Diploma in Elementary education.

OR

  • Candidates who are visually impaired are not eligible to write the TNTET Exam. 

TNTET Eligibility Criteria For Paper II:

  • Graduation and passed or pursuing a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. 
  • Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks. Passed or pursuing Bachelor’s in Education (B.Ed).
  • Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks. Passed or pursuing B.Ed as per the NCTE Regulations.
  • 12th (or it's equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks. Passed or pursued a 4 year Bachelor in Elementary Education. 
  • 12th (or it's equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks. Passed or pursuing 4-year B.A/B.Sc. Ed or B.A. Ed./B.Sc. Ed.
  • Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks. Passed or pursuing B.Ed.
