  • For soldier general duty, the exam paper consists of 3 subjects that are general knowledge, general science, and maths consisting of a total of 50 questions carrying a total of 100 marks. There are a total of 15 questions for general knowledge carrying 30 marks, 20 questions for general science carrying a total of 40 marks, and 15 questions for maths section carrying a total of 30 marks.
  • The negative marking for a wrong answer is 0.5 marks. Therefore, the candidate can refer to the formula 2x-3y for calculating their estimated score, where, x stands for the number of questions that are correctly marked and y stands for the number of questions that are marked incorrect. 
  • For soldier technical, the exam paper consists of 4 subjects consisting of general knowledge, physics, maths, and chemistry, comprising a total of 50 questions carrying a total of 100 marks. The general knowledge and reasoning section consists of a total of 10 questions carrying 20 marks, Maths sections consist of a total of 15 questions carrying 60 marks, Physics section consists of 15 questions carrying a total of 60 marks and Chemistry section consists of 10 questions carrying a total of 40 marks.
  • For an incorrect answer, the candidate is marked with 0.5 marks. The candidate requires a minimum score of 80 marks in order to pass the exam. Therefore, the candidate can refer to the formula 2x-3y for calculating their estimated score, where, x stands for the number of questions that are correctly marked and y stands for the number of questions that are marked incorrect. 
  • For soldier tradesman, the exam paper consists of 3 subjects which are general knowledge, general science, and maths comprising a total of 50 questions carrying 100 marks in total. The general knowledge sections consist of 20 questions carrying 40 marks, the general science section 15 questions carrying 30 marks, and the maths section also consists of 15 questions carrying 30 marks.
  • The negative marks awarded for the exam are 0.5 which is deducted if the candidate has marked a  wrong answer. The candidate is required to have scored 32 marks in order to pass the exam. Therefore, the candidate can refer to the formula 2x-3y for calculating their estimated score, where, x stands for the number of questions that are correctly marked and y stands for the number of questions that are marked incorrect. 
  • For soldier clerk, there are a total of 5 subjects which are general knowledge, general science, maths, computer science, and general English, consisting of a total of 50 questions carrying a total of 200 marks. The general knowledge section consists of 5 questions carrying a total of 20 marks, general science section consists of 5 questions carrying 20 marks, maths section consists of 10 questions carrying 40 marks, computer section consists of 5 questions carrying a total of 20 marks and general English question carries 25 questions carrying a total of 100 marks.
  • The exam comprises a negative marking of 0.5 marks and the pass mark required for this paper is 80 marks. Therefore, the candidate can refer to the formula 2x-3y for calculating their estimated score, where, x stands for the number of questions that are correctly marked and y stands for the number of questions that are marked incorrect. 
  • For soldier nursing assistants, there are a total of 5 subjects which are general knowledge, chemistry, biology, mathematics, and physics consisting of a total of 50 questions carrying 200 marks. The general knowledge section consists of 10 questions carrying 40 marks, the chemistry section consists of 15 questions carrying 60 marks, the biology section consists of 15 questions carrying 60 marks, the mathematics section consists of 5 questions carrying 20 marks, and the physics section consists of 5 questions carrying 20 marks.
  • The negative marks awarded in the exam is 1 mark. The candidate appearing for the exam is required to score at least 80 marks to pass the exam.
