Central Teachers Eligibility Test Syllabus

CTET is Central Teacher Eligibility Test. Its Syllabus will be released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on the official website. THE Central TET Exam will conduct in two phases Paper- I and Paper-II. The exam will be having on 8th December 2025 for both papers with different shifts. Aspirants can apply for CTET Exam 2025, who wish to become Primary Teachers and teach classes from 1st to 5th. And those who become Upper Primary teachers and teach classes from 6th to 8th. 

CTET Exam Paper-I consists of 5 sections and exam paper-II consists of 4 sections. There are multiple subjects in CTET Syllabus 2025. Aspirants can choose subjects between mathematics & science in paper- I and Social Studies in Paper II. In both phases, aspirants must be securing a minimum of 60% marks.

CTET Exam Pattern 2025:

Central Teacher Eligibility Test is conducting for the interested aspirants who intend to teach the class from 1st to 5th (are Primary Level Teacher). And aspirants who wish to become an Upper Primary Teacher can teach class 6th to 8th. CTET Exam Pattern 2025 for Paper- I & II are given below:

Nature and Standard of Question (Paper- I):

• Child Development and Pedagogy will focus on the educational psychology of teaching and learning relevant to the age group of 6 to 11 years. Also, understand the attributes and qualities of a good facilitator of learning.
• Language 1 & 2 will focus on proficiencies related to the medium of instructions and communication & language comprehension abilities.
• There will be 3 options in language subject i.e., Hindi, Sanskrit, and English. Aspirants have to choose any two languages for the exam.
• Mathematics and Environment Studies questions based on the class 1st to 5th from NCERT Books.
