• These details are your personal, qualifications, contact details, etc. You should fill in the details correctly and completely otherwise your exam application form may be canceled.
• After submitting the CDS registration form, the exam conducting authority processes your form and generates admit cards for the exam. You can download it through the official website of the UPSC.
• The registration form is accompanied by some form fees. You have to pay the fees before the last date. Otherwise, your application form will not be considered.

• To apply for the CDS exam students need to visit the official website of UPSC. This is the only method of applying for the CDS exam. The application process begins on May 17 and continues till 15th June. Thus candidates have to submit the application form with the fees before the last date.
• While filling out the application form the application portal will send you all the important messages and notifications on your contact number and email ID. So, you should have an active contact number and email ID. At the time you are filling out the CDS registration form, the portal will send you an OTP for verification of your contact number.
• While filling out the CDS application form, you need to upload your passport-size photograph and signature. These documents should be in the required format and size. You can read the notification to get the complete details. These documents are required for your identification in the exam.
• After completing the registration form the next step is the fee payment. You can pay the fee through different modes. All these modes are for online fee payment. This stage is very important because it completes the application submission.

Steps to Fill the CDS Exam Form 2024

• The online mode is the only available option to fill out the CDS registration form. So, you have to visit the official website of the UPSC. However, some students find it difficult to fill out the online application form.
• They should take guidance from someone who knows this better. The online mode of application is easier than the offline mode. Also, you can edit any information before the submission of the application form.
• The CDS Registration Form 2024 consists of two parts. In part 1, you need to fill in all your details. And in the 2nd part, you need to upload your documents and submit the fees.

The steps to complete the application procedure are as follows:

• Visit the official website of the UPSC (https://www.upsc.gov.in/).
• Check for the link related to the CDS exam and click on it.
• Click on the Apply Online button and you will be directed to another page.
• The registration for CDS is divided into two parts.
• Click on the registration part I. You have to fill in all the important details in this application form.
• It will ask for your personal details, qualification details, contact details, address details, etc.
• After successfully filling in the details click on the submit button. Your login ID will be generated. Note down the registration ID.
• Click on the proceed button. Now you have to fill in the registration ID and date of birth to log in and fill the part 2 of the registration form.
• Upload all the required documents and pay the fees.
• The document should be in the correct format as required for the exam.
• After paying the fees, make the final submission of the registration form.
• A confirmation page will appear, download it for future use.

UPSC CDS Registration Form 2024

• CDS Registration Part I:  In the first part, the applicants need to fill in their basic information such as the Candidate name, Parent name, nationality, category, email ID, Contact Details, Corresponding Address, etc.
• CDS Registration Part II: In this part, candidates will have to pay the requisite amount of application fee, as per their category, and exam center. The candidates can pay the fee by both online and offline mode.
• Photograph and Signature: While filling out the application form candidates should upload the data in a specified format mentioned below:
  • A passport-sized photograph with a white background.
  • Scanned signature on white paper with a black ball pen. The file should be in JPG format.
  • Dimensions for both photo and signature - 140 pixels (Height) x 110 pixels (width). The size of the scanned files - is 3KB and 40 KB.

Application Fee of CDS Exam Application Form

Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the UPSC CDS Exam are required to pay a fee of Rs.200/- (except Female/SC/ST candidates who are immune from payment of fee).

Candidates can pay the fee either by:

• Any Branch of SBI by cash
• By using the net banking facility of SBI
• State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala/State Bank of Travancore
• By using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card

CDS Registration Form 2024 - Download Procedure

Step 1: Visit the official website of UPSC CDS i.e. https://upsconline.nic.in/

Step 2: Click on the link Registration Part 1

Step 3: Fill in all the Important Details.

Step 4: Once submitting the registration form, you will be given a Generated Registration Number and saved for future use.

Step 5: Click on "Registration Link 2"

Step 6: Part II registration includes uploading scanned images of the Signature and Photograph, paying the application fee, selecting the examination centers, etc.

Step 7: Click on “I Agree”. Now proceed to fill UPSC CDS Application Form.

Step 8: Re-check all the information before making the final submission.

Step 9: After the successful submission of your application form, an auto-generated confirmation mail will be sent to your registered email ID.
