Green Hills Engineering College, Solan was established in the year 2003 with an aim of spreading Engineering education in the state of Himachal Pradesh. The Institute started by imparting Engineering in 4 disciplines that include Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering. In  2007 Information Technology and in 2010 Civil Engineering was added to the courses.

The Institute is approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and the Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU). Green Hills Engineering College Solan is one of the best Engineering Institutes in the country and has been established under the Green Hills Society.

GHEC Solan is a Private Educational Institute that offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the different disciplines of Engineering. The courses offered by the College include B.Tech and M.Tech.
