Eligibility Criteria for Admissions to B.Tech Program | Apply For B.Tech Admission

• The minimum eligibility criteria to apply for the B.Tech course offered by L.R Institute of Engineering & Technology is that the candidate must pass 10+2 with at least 45% in the board examinations with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics as mandatory subjects in 10+2.
• The candidates will be shortlisted based on the merit score/rank in JEE-Mains or HP-CET entrance exam.

Eligibility Criteria for Lateral Entry to B.Tech Program:

• To get admission to a later B.tech program, the candidate must have completed a Diploma course in engineering with a minimum of 55% marks.
• The admission to B.Tech (lateral entry) course is done through HIMTU counseling and is completely based on merit.

Eligibility Criteria for admission to M.Tech Program | Apply For M.Tech Admission

• To apply for admission in the M.Tech program, the candidate must have completed B.Tech or B.Sc in the relevant specialization with at least 50% marks in the final examinations.
• The candidates are finally shortlisted based on GATE or HPCET scores which are followed by HIMTU Counselling rounds

Important Notes:

• 50% of the seats of the B.tech course will be filled based on ranks secured in the JEE-Main entrance exam and the remaining seats will be allotted based on ranks secured in HP-CET.
• The minimum cut-off for admission into B. Tech courses through HIMTU counseling. This 15% marks in JEE Mains exam, 20% marks in the HP-CET exam, and 55% in the 10+2 exam.
• 15% of total seats in L.R Institute of Engineering & Technology is filled through the management quota.
• The candidates who belong to the reserved category (ST/SC/OBC/PwD) will be given a relaxation of 5% in minimum marks required for admissions.
• 50% of total M.Tech seats are filled based on the rank secured in the GATE entrance exam and the rest of the 50% seats are filled based on the rank secured in the HP-CET entrance exam.
• The minimum cut-off for admission in M.Tech courses through HIMTU counseling for HP-CET is 20% marks and for B.E/B.Tech is 60% marks.
• The candidates seeking admission to any course offered by the L.R Institute of Engineering & Technology (B.Tech, B.Tech lateral, or M.tech ) must have to apply through HIMTU counseling and the candidate must have a valid score in the relevant entrance examinations as required by the institute.
