UP ITI Exam Pattern: The UP ITI Entrance Pattern 2024 is made visible on the web portal of the governing department i.e. State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT). The exam pattern is really helpful for all aspiring candidates because it clearly describes the topic-wise marking scheme as well as the important topics and sub-topics on which the exam will be based.

As soon as the exam pattern is released by SCVT, the candidates must check it so that they can schedule their studies accordingly and prepare well for the exam. All the candidates should aim at getting admission to their preferred Industrial Training Institutes.

Nature of Questions in UP ITI Entrance Exam:

  • The questions asked in the UP ITI Exam are Objective Type and Multiple Choice Based Questions.
  • Probably, there will be 4 choices available in every question and you have to tick anyone which you think to be correct.

UP ITI Entrance Exam 2024 Highlights:

  • The good news for the candidates is that there is no negative marking for any wrong answers or unattempt.
  • All the questions asked are compulsory to attempt, no optional questions will be there.
  • The total number of questions that you need to attempt is 100 which all are multiple-choice-based questions.
  • The UP ITI Exam will be 180 minutes i.e. 3 hours.
  • The maximum mark is 400.

UP ITI Admission Process:

Given below is the detailed procedure for getting admission to UP ITI:

Step 1: Firstly the eligible candidates need to fill out the UP ITI Application Form online and deposit the fees.

Step 2: Once the online application is filled by the candidates, the exam conducting authority will prepare a merit list based on marks obtained by the candidates in their respective qualification examinations.

Step 4: The candidates whose names are there in the UP ITI 2024 Merit List will be called for counseling rounds.

Step 4: The candidates get admission based on their rank in the UP ITI Merit List 2024 and seat availability in particular ITIs.

Step 5: Once the counseling rounds are announced by the concerned authority as per merit, the candidate needs to compulsorily attend on a given time and date.

Step 6: Once the candidate gets admission to a particular ITI, he/she needs to report to the same college for verification of documents, payment of fees, and other admission-related formalities.

UP ITI Category Wise Reservation:

The candidates who have filled UP ITI Registration Form are given reservations as per their caste category while admission in all State/Private Industrial Training Institutes located under the state, which come under the administrative control of the Department of Vocational Education and Skills Development, Uttar Pradesh.

The UP ITI Category Wise Reservation is as follows:

3 OBC 27% of all entry seats available in each trade
4 For the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) of the category (except minority institutions) other than the above-listed categories 10% of all entry seats available in each trade

Eligibility Criteria for Coming in the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) Category:

  • The candidate should belong to a caste that is not listed in the list of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes notified for Uttar Pradesh.
  • The total family annual income of the candidate (from salary, agriculture, business, occupation, etc.), in the last financial year, should be less than INR 8 Lakhs.
  • The candidate and his family should not own the following assets:
  • Five acres of arable land or above.
  • Flat of 1000 square feet or more.
  • Residential Plots of 100 square yards or more under the notified municipality.
  • Residential Plot of 200 square yards or more, other than the notified municipality.

General Guidelines Related to Items Not Allowed in UP ITI Examination Centre:

All the candidates must ensure that they do not carry the below-listed things in the UP ITI Examination Hall:

  • Electronic Watches or Gadgets like Mobile Phone, Calculator, Ear Phone, etc.
  • Any printed material or paper
  • Handbag/Purse
  • Eatables
  • Any camera, tape recorder, etc.
  • Baggage/Luggage
  • Log Tables

While taking the UP ITI Exam, the candidate cannot smoke, eat, or have tea/coffee. All the eatables are prohibited inside the UP ITI Examination Centre.
