State Bank of India is a reputed organization and the competition for recruitment into this bank for the SBI PO post is very high. Candidates need to understand the syllabus in order to prepare for SBI PO and come on top despite the competition. The SBI PO Syllabus 2025 of the SBI PO Recruitment Exam 2025 has been tailored in such a way that it is suitable for graduates and the reference books recommended for this exam cover the entire syllabus. SBI PO Syllabus 2025 is pretty much similar to any other Bank PO Exam Syllabus. There are three major sections in which the syllabus can be divided: English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning. All these sections have a wide range of topics on which the examination will be based.
The SBI Syllabus is divided into two parts: Preliminary Exam Syllabus and Main Examination Syllabus. The Prelims Exams syllabus consists of subjects such as the English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability, whereas the mains examination syllabus consists of the topics from Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis & Interpretation, General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness, and English Language. The exam will consist of objective-type multiple-choice questions. Candidates are advised to take a look at the previous year's question papers to know about the weightage of topics.
The Syllabus is almost the same for the Prelims and Mains examination with a slight difference in the Mains section which will consist of two extra sections which are: General and banking awareness. The difficulty level of the SBI PO Mains Exam is a little higher as compared to the Prelims Exam. Both of these syllabi are different from one another. The SBI PO Mains Syllabus will consist of a descriptive test as well which will consist of two questions: Letter writing and essay writing and both of these questions consist of 25 marks making a total of 50 marks. Candidates are required to score passing marks in the descriptive test also to qualify well in the SBI PO Mains Examination.
