Child Development and Pedagogy:

  • Growth and development, stages of development, childhood, infancy, and adolescence. Principles of development of children.
  • Concept of development and its relation to learning.
  • Socialization process, social world, and children, the role of parents, peers, and teachers in the process of socialization.
  • Influence heredity and environment based on the development of the child, the role of the teacher.
  • constructs and critical perspectives, cognitive development theory of Piaget, moral development, the theory of Kohlberg, social constructivism, a theory of Vygotsky, and their educational implications.
  • The perspective of the construct of intelligence, multidimensional intelligence, Sternberg’s information processing theory, the concept of I Q, intelligence tests.

The Maha TET Exam is distributed in 2 papers- Paper 1 (which is for becoming a  primary teacher who teaches the students of Class 1 to 5) and Paper 2 (which is for becoming an elementary teacher who teaches the students of Class 6 to 8). The candidates should know that both the papers are conducted on the same day but in different shifts. 

There is a choice given to candidates in both Paper 1 and Paper 2, the candidates can choose the subjects of their own choice. The candidate who scores above the minimum cut-off percentage marks as laid by the concerned authority will be issued Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test. 

How to download the Maha TET Syllabus 2024:
  • The candidates first need to visit the official website of Maha TET i.e.www.mahatet.in. which is the conducting authority of the Maharashtra TET Exam. 
  • Then, the candidate needs to click on the link “Maha TET Exam Syllabus 2024 and Exam Pattern”.
  • After that, the candidate needs to enter the information which is asked such as Examination name, Department name, Paper name, etc.
  • Click on the “Submit” button.
  • Now hit the download button to download the PDF of Maharashtra TET Exam Syllabus 2024.
