APS TGT, PGT & PRT Notification

APS TGT/PGT/PRT RECRUITMENT 2025:

Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) is inviting applications from eligible candidates for various TGT/PGT/PRT posts in Army Public Schools across India.  As per the official notification on their website, for now, they have not disclosed the exact number of vacant positions available in various Army Public Schools.

Along with the number of vacant positions, they will also declare whether the vacancies are “regular” or “fixed-term”. The candidates who will be hired as “regular” teachers are subject to transfers for organizational interests. The number of vacancies will be officially announced by the respective School/Management when they will advertise for holding interviews/evaluation of teaching skills.

Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) assumes the responsibility of managing and ensuring quality & affordable education to the wards of the Indian Army Personnel.

In India, there are about 137 Army Public Schools with about 8500 teaching staff and approximately 2.3 lakh students onboarded, and these schools are supervised by local Army Authorities. All these reputed schools are affiliated to CBSE through the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES). Every year, 5000 new students are added to the Army Public Schools.

Last year, there were about 2315 and 2169 vacancies in different categories respectively. So, all deserving and eligible candidates should try to grab this opportunity and they should apply for this APS TGT/PGT/PRT School Teachers Recruitment 2025 as soon as possible.

APS TGT/PGT/PRT Recruitment Exam 2025:

The full form of APS TGT/PGT/PRT Exam is an Army Public School Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT), Post Graduate Teacher (PGT), and Primary Teacher (PRT) Exam. 

This exam is organized by the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) in 3 stages:

Stage 1: Screening Exam

Stage 2: Interview

Stage 3: Evaluation of Teaching Skills and Computer Proficiency

The Screening Examination i.e. Stage 1 is conducted by HQ AWES on behalf of Boards of Administration at Regional Command Headquarters whereas the Selection and Appointment will be done & finalized by respective School Administration and Management Committee. 

The main objective behind organizing this exam is to recruit only meritorious and credible candidates for various teaching posts available in Army Public Schools across the country.

This exam is going to help individuals who want to get involved in the field of Teaching and are willing to contribute to the bright future of the children of Army Personnel. In case, the candidates are selected on “Regular” posts, they have to change their location in the interest of the organization whenever required so they must not have any location constraint.   

All the candidates who are applying for various posts should ensure that they possess the relevant certificates and qualifications as laid down by the concerned authority. The candidates who get recruited in the Army Schools get good compensation also.
