APTET Exam 2024: The Government of Education, Andhra Pradesh Released the APTET Exam, Date, Fees, Form, Paper, Vacancy and Notification 2024. APTET Exam is a state-level eligibility test in order to provide opportunities for the candidates aspiring to become teachers in the primary as well as upper primary schools in Andhra Pradesh.  Every year, the respective exam recruits teachers for the various government as well as private schools.

  • APTET Exam comprises two papers, Paper I that consists of recruiting teachers for primary level (candidates who want to teach students from class I to V), and Paper-II that consists of recruiting teachers for upper primary level (candidates who want to teach the students from class VI to VIII). The mode of this exam is objective with a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes.

What are the Objectives of the APTET Exam?

  • APTET Exam is conducted every year in 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh in an online mode of the computer-based test. Those candidates who aspire to become teachers in Government schools, private aided, as well as un-aided schools, Zila Parishad, Mandal Parishad, etc. in the state, can apply and appear for the respective online test. 
  • The CBT is conducted in the form of Paper I and Paper II (A) & (B). Precisely, those candidates who are willing to become teachers for classes I to V can prefer appearing for the paper I and those willing to become teachers for class VI to VIII (language pandits) can appear for paper II (A) and the candidates who aspire to become teachers in Physical Education can prefer appearing in paper II (B).
  • Furthermore, those candidates who are intending to become teachers from class I to VIII can prefer appearing in all papers ( Paper I, Paper-II (A) & (B) ).

  • The APTET 2024 is an online exam that incorporates objective-type questions.
  • There are a total of 150 questions that need to be completed in a duration of 2 hours 30 minutes. 
  • Each question in the respective exam carries 1 mark for a correct answer and as there are 150 questions, so the total marks as per the exam are 150. Moreover, the APTET exam consists of no negative marking so even if you mark a wrong, there will be no marks deducted. 
  • The passing criteria for OC are 60% and above, BC is 50% marks and above, and SC, ST, and differently-abled (PH) is 40% marks and above. 

APTET Exam Pattern 2024:

The APTET  Exam consists of Paper I and Paper-II. Where paper I consist of questions and syllabus based on the requirement of teachers who are willing to become primary teachers ( Class I to v), the questions and syllabus in Paper II is meant for teachers in upper primary classes (Class VI-VIII).  Paper I and Paper II comprises 150 questions each with each question carrying 1 mark. Therefore, each paper stands for a total of 150 marks. 

APTET Form Fees 2024:

To appear in the APTET Exam the candidates need to follow the registration process i.e, they need to fill the APTET Application Form 2024. In order to do the registration, the candidate needs to pay the amount of Rs 500 for each paper. If the candidate wants to appear for all the papers then he/ she has to pay 500 each for both papers. The Medium of Question Paper for APTET Exam:

The APTET Exam would basically be bilingual. The question paper would be in English along with the language I, chosen by the candidate for all the languages other than Sanskrit. Those candidates who choose Sanskrit as their medium of exam will have questions in Telugu along with Sanskrit. 

APTET Exam Admit Card:

The APTET Admit Card can be downloaded on the date released by the respective authority from the official website,  https://cse.ap.gov.in with the help of the reference ID and the other respective details provided after filing the application form. It is extremely mandatory for the candidates to carry the admit card along with them because they would not be permitted without the admit card. 

Eligiblity for APTET Exam 2024:
  • It is very important for a candidate to check the eligibility criteria of an exam before applying to it in order to avoid any future hindrances or disappointment related to the exam.
  • For APTET, the applicant must be a citizen of India and the minimum age to apply should be 18 years and the maximum age should be 40 years. Furthermore, those candidates who intend to become primary teachers need to pursue the course of their senior secondary education with the minimum marks of 45% with 2 years of Diploma in Elementary Education.
  • Whereas those candidates who intend to become upper primary teachers must have passed their B.Com or B.Sc. or are required to be in their final year of DED (Diploma in Elementary Education).
