The All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) 2023 now known as NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is held for admission to MBBS/BDS courses in the different Government and Private Medical Institutes spread all over India. The exam is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education. The expected month for AIPMT 2023 is May and the exam will take place across selected cities in the country.
The AIPMT Exams which has been completely replaced with NEET will be conducted in the Computer-based mode and the AIPMT application form 2023 will be available online in the month of February (expected). Candidates who are interested in taking admission to the professional Medical and Dental courses must appear for the AIPMT 2023 exam.
AIPMT is conducted for admission to 15% of the total seats in the Medical and Dental Colleges in India that are run by the Central Government and the State Government. The States of Andhra Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Telangana do not accept the scores of the AIPMT exams.
AIPMT 2023 is a National Level Medical and Dental Entrance Exam and more than 5 lakh candidates appear for the exam every year. The All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) has 2 papers- Prelims and Main. AIPMT has been replaced by NEET completely in 2017. The regulating body for AIPMT is the Central Board of Secondary Education while the NEET exam is conducted at a Centralized level by the National Testing Agency(NTA).

Both AIPMT and NEET are conducted for admission to Medical Colleges across the country. AIPMT or the All India Pre Medical Test is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) while NEET(National Eligibility cum Entrance Exam) is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). The total number of seats offered by NEET is more as compared to AIPMT. NEET offers a 100% quota in all the Medical Colleges whereas AIPMT offers only 15% of AIQ. NEET offers seats in Medical Colleges all across India while the states of Andhra Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Telangana do not accept the AIPMT score. AIPMT has 2 levels of exam- Prelims and Mains whereas NEET will have only one paper and admission to the Medical Colleges will take place after that.
Aspirants must know that both AIPMT and NEET are similar exams. In 2016 AIPMT was completely replaced by NEET and all Medical aspirants must appear for the NEET exam in order to take admission to the Medical Colleges across the country.
